No staff to clean rooms. Rooms layed out wrong. Broken toilet. Broken shower Handel. No microwave. To much noise from the stair case next to the room. Breakfast started to late so my crew could not have anything to eat.

Darwin at the front desk was so awesome that I had to buy him a gift. He was patient in the face of adversity and put up with a lot of stress with their computer system being down (for 2 weeks!) and being yelled at by various guests. He treated our hockey group with respect and bent over backwards to provide us a space to gather and with gift bags for the team. A first! Very personalized and small-town with a smile type service. We'll be back!
On the down side, it's odd that their systems were down for so long. This is a problem and puts undo stress on staff and causes errors in reservations for guests.

as my user name suggests, i am a hotel snob and very picky about my hotels I stay at. we needed a place to stay in middle of road trip and i settled on this property because of the pictures and reviews. They both proved to be very accurate!!
The hotel is very recently and wonderfully decorated and updated. They have clearly spent a lot of money and it shows!! it did not feel like a typical BW. The beds were very comfortable we even slept in past our wake up!! so it was a much needed rest after a lot of driving.
All of the staff were very friendly and attentive.
We did not have time to use to pool it was only a quick stay.
The breakfast was very delicious and had a lot of options cold and hot.

The staff at the hotel really make a difference. They go out of their way to make your stay a pleasurable one. The room was spacious and clean. The hot buffet breakfast, which is included , was surprisingly good with lots of fresh options. Cesar,the breakfast attendant,worked very hard to make sure everyone had their needs met. Darwin ,at the front desk ,was very charming and accommodating . If you need a place to stay in Golden,you can't go wrong with the Mountainview Inn.

Our stay here was amazing. The beds were comfortable, clean and warm . Staff was friendly and the kids loved the heated pool. It is Pet friendly. We we’re hauling large fifthwheels parking was available.
