I stayed at this hotel with my 86yr old mother and daughter for my aunt's funeral. The staff were wonderful, very helpful and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. We changed rooms at the last minute because there were too many stairs to the first room offered (for my mother) and given one on the ground floor. There were a couple of other issues dealt with by reception in a most professional way and we weren't made to feel like we were making a fuss. Breakfast was efficient and cooked to order. A lovely old building with plenty of parking space, just perfect for this very sad occasion.

Rooms....reasonable.
The rest has a lot to answer for.
Reception not very welcoming and restaurant...indescribable.
Waited 20 minutes for a bottle of prosecco and 1 other drink...
Waited 1 hour for 2 soup and 3 bruschetta.
After 45 we asked to speak to the manager who did manage to hurry things along but by this point we had given up the will to live.
The free entertainment for the night was the table next to us that had experienced every possible problem also.
Hotel ok but restaurant a disaster.

Stayed one night here, check in was quick my room was in the 300 which is a very long walk up numerous sets of stairs. No offer was made to carry my case it was a long trek. Evening meal was delicious and the long haired blonde waitress was fabulous. Her manner was excellent and so friendly. Room was basic bit dated but had everything I needed. Shower was a bit rubbish no way to adjust the height but it did the job. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was nice again the waiting staff were superb. Coffee was lovely and the girls were replenishing all the time. Check out quick and easy and an offer to carry my case. Would I stop here again yes........

Stayed here in the last week while working in Burnley . Firstly make sure you get a room in the 100’s or 200’s . I had a room in the 300’s and felt like a mile walk to get to it with luggage and there is loads of stairs !!
The room was basic but clean and tidy . It certainly doesn’t have any character as very plain.
The food in the restaurant was excellent and can recommend the Duck .
Overall was a good stay but didn’t set the world alight .

Really nice place to stay staff excellent breakfast excellent I booked a table for 2 for a three course meal got soup start very nice then ordered fillet salmon I thought you get veg and potoes but just got salmon and a little dressing which I think not good salmon good but no veg o potoes not worth the money charge that was a downside for me I would not have evening meal not worth the money charge I would go back but not have evening meal I stayed 4th November kev taylor
