Stayed here with a friend recently in a twin room on the 2nd floor. Lovely room. Perfect for 2. Even had a bath. The shower however, well it had water coming out of it but at no great speed or push. The beds were very comfy and the t.v was a good size. We headed down to the pool about 7pm. All looked ok but then we went in the steam room - I can't pin point the exact smell but it stank. This was not a menthol environment and the floor was very dirty. The Jacuzzi was fab - able to activate it ourselves was good but being stared at by smokers outside and people coming into the hotel wasn't ideal. At all. A quick fix would be some blinds! We left the pool for a shower. We weren't expecting the arctic blast that reigned down on us. No shower. Back up to our toasty warm room. Good night's sleep and looking forward to breakfast . Staff again were lovely, breakfast not so much. Good selection on the continental bit but no croissants/rolls. We ordered the full breakfast but it came without the black pudding. It was also heavily microwaved and dry.
Overall the staff are an absolute credit to the hotel and clearly do the best they can with what they have. The hotel is in need of some tlc and a good clean in the pool area.

Stayed here a couple of times with work, staff are always so lovely, always get a lovely greeting from the reception team. More often than not i will have breakfast in the morning also, full English breakfast is delicious! Sometimes i will stay in and have an evening meal, otherwise i have a stroll down into the centre of Ramsbottom where there's loads of nice restaurants/pubs/bars, really friendly area. Bedrooms are brilliant, tea and coffee facilities are a god send first thing in the morning! Rooms are a good size, clean, have an en suite and the beds are very comfy. Leisure facilities are great, it's nice to go and relax in the jacuzzi after a long day at work.

We enjoyed our two nights here. Not the easiest to find, but once there, plenty of parking, comfy rooms, really well lit too which is a bonus, and lovely friendly staff. It's an old mill so there's no lift and things creak a bit, but that's part of the charm. The bar food was good and reasonably priced, and the breakfasts were excellent. They'd run out of kippers but I think they gave me double of everything else to make up! Only a 5 minute stroll into town (10 on the way back as it's all uphill!). The shower needs to be more powerful, it dribbled a lot, and the bathroom does need updating, but overall it was very good value.

I stayed two nights for work recently. On the old side externally which is perfectly ok but also needs a bit of work in the rooms as others have mentioned. No lift so travel light. I was the only person at breakfast on day and got a fantastic cooked breakfast. Plenty of parking outside. I didn't use all the facilities and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.A very short stroll to the town so convenient for work.

Wowcher deal dinner bed n breakfast and spa access.
Slight hiccup on arrival allocated double room when a twin had been requested
Sorted out in 5 minutes exellent customer service
Staff are all smiley and helpful
All areas clean n tidy
Room lovely
Spa nice n quiet spent 2 hours relaxing went down in our robes that we took with us as having been before knew only towels provided
Was so nice to be able to throw robe back on and go up to room without the faff of using the tiny changing room
Food and service at dinner was really good sweets to die for
Bar area nice and relaxing
Ordered room service breakfast only £3 extra each I've paid far more actually up to £15 at some hotels.
All in all great place to go and unwind
Highly recommend.
Also ramsbotttom has some nice quirky shops spent some time in memories antiques that was featured on antiques road trip made couple of purchases fab
