The location is great as it is directly across from the water. Very convent to downtown. Restaurant directly beside the hotel was convenient. Close to shopping, food, entertainment. Hotel staff was amazing! Room was update, comfortable and roomy. Breakfast included was great, not just muffins and donuts like some places. Would definitely stay here again.

My Father's family all lives in Campbell River and every time I have visited I wanted to someday stay at the Austrian Chalet (now a Best Western property). It always looked so intriguing and so beautiful when we would see it from off shore while boating. My Husband and I recently had the opportunity to stay there when we were in town for a Celebration of Life for my Father. It was the first hotel that we looked into as it was on my wish list and fit us for location to our Family gathering. We couldn't have been happier with our experience there, we enjoyed the room and view very much and after only a few hours there I wished we could have stayed for 3 nights instead of just the one. When arriving early after a long travel and our room was not ready to occupy we were given an upgrade to get us into a room right away, that was so kind.

I am not the kinda guy to write reviews but I had a great stay and being an avid traveller I felt it necessary to do them justice and recommend everyone stay at this hotel, great service with great views

We stayed after a surgery in Campbell River and wanted a comfortable, relaxing hotel for our stay. At first, we couldn't get WIFI on my mac. The kind lady asked an IT fellow who fixed it right a way for us. She offered us another room if we could get better reception. They were extremely accommodating. The room is very comfortable - king bed, bar fridge, big screen digital TV with good choice of channels. Great room temperature control. Very clean. Breakfast was more than continental with plain scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with cheddar and bacon, hash brown, self serve waffle maker, yogurt, fresh fruit, grapefruit, orange and apple juice, bread and toaster, pastries and great coffee. We would stay here again.

We did a road trip to see northern Vancouver Island. This was our last night on our way home. Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful room and great breakfast. We would definitely stay there the next time we are in Campbell River.
