We stayed here November 11th through 13th.
This is nice, affordable hotel for this area of town. There are a lot of cool microbreweries, restaurants, and bars that are walkable. This is good because as Vancouver is still sadly lacking Uber, getting around by cab is expensive and annoyingly difficult (try to hail a cab on the streets of Vancouver, and I’ll see you next month)!
There is a mall next door with a big grocery store (supermarket) and all of the typical stores you might expect in a mall (Shoppers Drug Mart, Dollar Store, Electronics Store, Fast Food, Clothing Stores, etc., etc.)
The hotel lobby and entrance are quite unimpressive, and actually feel a bit sketchy—but the rooms are clean and have most of the basics you would expect (mini-fridge, complimentary Keurig coffee maker and pods, fast free Wi-Fi, lots of plugs and USB ports. There is no in-room safe though.
Overall, for the price it’s a pleasant hotel that gives you just what you’d expect.

Free parking although they are a little tight. Lots of very good restaurants within walking distance. A 2 min walk to the Kingsgate mall. We have actually walked to Science World and to see Cirque once. A very short cab ride to see the Canucks or BC Lions as they are virtually next door.

Our two negatives at this hotel were the scruffy-looking evening receptionist and the fact that our room wasn’t serviced on the first day (we just received a shrug when we mentioned it at reception). We later found a form buried in a drawer which we should apparently have handed in, stating our servicing requirements but next time we just hung the sign on the door requesting it.
Apart from that though, we had a nice large room with comfortable bed and chairs and a peaceful night's sleep. We were at the time able to enjoy the good choice on the breakfast bar. The staff were cheerful and attentive, as were the daytime receptionists.
Its location could be a disadvantage to someone without a car, as we were, as it involves a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest metro station (although there is also a nearby bus route). There is, however, a convenient shopping mall with supermarkets across the road and several restaurants, although we didn’t feel the need to explore these as the Italian one next door does delicious food.

It has good access to all areas of the GVA. Very small lobby and kitchen. Rooms are clean and well maintained but some of them are very small. Staff are friendly and willing to help. They have a great fitness center but it doesn't open until 8:30am

I made the trip with a friend who had to see a surgeon about her upcoming surgery. We needed to stay as close to the hospital as we could. The Best Western on Kingsway was a good choice. The location was good and the price was something we could afford. We were very pleased with the hotel. The service was very good and the room was clean and updated. The continental breakfast though wasn't very good though. Overall we were very pleased and would stay here again.
