This hotel was recently renovated. Beds are comfy. Room was small as was the bathroom but shower was wonderful. I could not hear people in the other rooms so I loved that. Doors slam though. We had a false fire alarm at 2:30 am one night that was not fun. Asked for a room not near elevators and was told when we checked in it was in the middle of floor which it was not. It was fine though. They let us check in early as we were coming from the train station which was great. We had breakfast at the restaurant which was very nice but a really limited menu. No free breakfast here which was unfortunate. I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel with a great staff and location. My only two issues were the other guests there were extremely loud and disruptive in the middle of the night. One call down to the desk remedied it but I'm guessing on a game weekend your likely to encounter this. The walls are not super thick and you'll hear a lot from less than courteousness guests. The faucet in our room was pretty slow, I'm guessing it was for water conservation so I'm not too bothered but it but if your one that needs a good water pressure from your hotel bathroom that is an issue here. Overall very clean, great hotel, would stay there again. Just hope next time there isn't a party on my floor.

The first thing I noticed is that the price increased per night. Even with the senior discount, as a repeat customer and club member I would have thought I could get a manager's special rate regardless of any other discount. The room was clean and well stocked with towels, etc. When I turned the TV on I noticed they had direct TV. The reception wasn't that great on all the channels, something that wasn't a problem when they had cable. In fact, I missed some programs on ABC because the channel wouldn't come in. Another was miscoded and led to some confusion. The windows were also pretty dirty. The staff continues to be friendly.

For whatever reason, there are not many hotels near Loyola, and the one hotel that is there is always booked during busy weekends. We were there for parent weekend 2017.
On the good side, the hotel is close to the Purple Line, only a couple of blocks from the station. On the bad side, it is on the purple line, which means you have to transfer from the Red Line, which stops at Loyola, to the Purple Line. That transfer can add significant time to your travel. Sometimes the transfer was quick, but on a Sunday, when fewer trains were running, we had to wait about 20 minutes.
The hotel itself is fine. No complaints about it. In the future, however, I plan to get a hotel between Loyola and downtown, which will mean that I can take the Red Line without transferring.

No complain except complimentary breakfast or at least some beverages. The location is perfect. Amenities are satisfactory except the breakfast not complimentary. Front Desk staff are courteous and helpful.
