The accommodation was excellent - spacious studio apartment which was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. On arrival in the room we found that we had been given many complimentary items, including toiletries, tea, sugar, coffee, Raki and even slippers. A bottle of water was also provided every day. The pool and bar area are splendid, as are reception and dining room. Everything was 5*! A wonderful breakfast was provided daily by the bubbly Demetra, who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Her home made cakes and pastries are second to none. Anna who is on duty during the day is a lovely girl who also went out of her way to make our stay such a wonderful experience. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. The apartment was cleaned every day, with sheets and towels changed regularly. Thank you to all the staff, including Irene who kept our apartment spotlessly clean throughout our stay.

Bedroom and bed - very comfortable. I suggest putting a garbage can in the room.
The kitchen is small but nice. Refrigerator (small but sufficient). The plastic castles turn the boiling water into the taste of plastic.
The small apartment is very well designed. Curtain pillows are of similar fabric.
Good breakfast: oranges and peaches. Different kinds of tee, coffee, fruit. Delicious yogurt and sweet and salty appetizers baked by dimetria.
Bus stop no. 10 to Heraklion and AG. Nicolaus
If you do not need the sea next to you - take it.

During our holiday in Crete, we were thinking to stay longer, if we were satisfied at Your memories hotel in Gouves. The surrounding area was nice and green but the hotel itself seemed quite old and with a lot of humidity. There were cockroaches almost everywhere which we found quite annoying and very unpleasant.
The beach was quite far away and we got lost in the fields trying to find it. There were roosters based on the grounds of the hotel, which kept us awake from midnight till 6 am :-(.
So, unfortunately, we've decided to leave......

Immediately felt welcome by Anna, we where escorted to our room, the superior room, the terrace was lovely, surrounded by fruit trees and delicate flowers, the room was clean, fresh and inviting. The bathroom would be only criticism as it was very small, however we managed, always lots of hot water and fresh towels. The toasty machine came in very handy on days we decided to stay by the pool, you have a kettle and coffee machine, had I have known I would have taken some nice ground coffee/filters.
A gorgeous little restaurant across the road, no menu but great service, around 6 tables beautifully set in a courtyard and family run, traditional.
The hotel is really in the middle of no where, so you need to hire a car or use the bus the Services, we used the bus daily, which runs every 15 mins in both directions, until the early hours so you can enjoy a night out without driving.
The cockerel will ensure an early rise, while we where there we had a lovely visit from the resident cat and kittens, despite the fact that Anna really doesn't want them there, but we enjoyed the fun they brought to our evenings sat on the terrace.
I would absolutely recommend 'your memories' for a peaceful and relaxing base for your holiday.
All the staff where amazing, very helpful and kind, particularly as we both suffered with a bad cold during our trip, they offered to help where every they could. They are not related but all work well as a team as there is really only 3 of them front of house. Thank you for a lovely stay we hope to visit again in the near future.

We stayed here for 9 days. The hotel is very beautiful, and Dimitra and Ana are very welcoming and nice. Also the breakfast, with different food, from the English breakfast to traditional greece food, is incredible, as well as the pool views. It is located in a very quiet area, good to rest.
