I live in Lake Wales and really wish we could do more with our downtown. There are a few gems to see but it is so small there really isn't any thing that just makes you want to run down there. I wish it wasn't so but it is.

Well it is a small town not much to see. I think its a place you can say been there. We were there on a Saturday and it seem like a ghost town.

Anchored on one end with a church and the other an old hotel, Lake Wales Main Street is a delight for a walk. You will pass the small town newspaper, a jewelry shop, a kitchen shop, and lots of other little must sees. There is the old Arcade with little shops tucked inside. A really nice way to spend a quiet afternoon.

We drove around on a Saturday afternoon looking for stuff to do in Lake Wales. We thought the town was cute but really nothing to write home about. The paintings on some of the buildings was awesome.

The tallest building in this historical city is waiting for a new life. Centrally located in the heart of the city. US Post office and other institutions are centered around.
