We had ordered a super queen room and got room #129 with a view over the lake.
The room was great and the price was very reasonable.
Noise level from the next room however was a bit too much
We will definitively go there again.

A quaint accomodation, complete with fireplace. We found our room to be comfortable and had all the facilities we needed, tv, dvd player, fridge, microwave and coffee maker.
We found the area to be quiet and relaxing within short stroll to Big Bear Village with quaint shops and restaurants. A great stay.

This is such a lovely place to stay. There are individual cabins with decks as well as motel rooms. We stayed at the motel which is right on the lake; the individual cabins are across the road -- a very short walk. The room was clean with a small refrigerator and a microwave and perfectly fine. It is definitely family friendly and your dogs are welcome too. The grounds are gorgeous and beautifully maintained. One very minor complaint -- there is only one ice machine for the entire facility, located in the kitchen next to the office. Our room was as far away from there as it possibly could be and I finally had to ask a couple sitting on their deck if they knew where it was. Such a minor inconvenience for such a wonderful stay!

We were looking for a place to escape the heat wave, bring our dog and not break the bank. After much searching we picked the Frontier Hotel building (not cabins since we did not plan on cooking) The room was downstairs with a deck that faced the lake. The water level in down due to the recent drought, but there is a field in front and we actually saw a Bald Eagle out there. You can walk to the lake easily. They also have a large deck facing the lake for everyone else to use. The room was large with a nice rock fireplace and had a fridge and Microwave. The room was clean and staff very helpful. It is an easy walk to the Village. To address some reviews saying that the rooms are hot, they do not have air but our downstairs room was fine with the windows open and the fans on. If it is above 80, you probably want to be on the ground floor.

We stayed in July - be warned there is no air conditioning (although stand fans are provided) and it gets very hot. Other than the heat the rooms were very comfortable and well-appointed. Having a fridge was useful as we were able to keep refreshments cold and fresh. There was a microwave with some basic utensils - this was very useful as we did a BBQ instead of going out to dinner. Seating on the deck to have dinner was great and before the sun set we had a lovely view of the lake.
