We had a 1 room apartment for 3 - 2 single beds and a pull-out sofa bed. The rooms were a little out dated but clean. The sofa bed didn't have sheets sized to match and was uncomfortable - it needs a new mattress and the pillow top comforter didn't fit. Only 2 chairs and a very small table. If the sofa bed was made up there was only room for 2 people to sit. The rooms were airless but the air-conditioner worked very well. The car park was extremely small and once a few large 4WD were parked, it left little room for others. 1 night a guest left the gate jammed opened so visitors could come in which left no parking spaces. Staff were polite and the staff member at the office was very amenable. There was a very small area to sit outside. No BBQ facilities but clean fridge and microwave inside unit

A great location, really complete and practical units. Secure parking, BBQ area looks great but didn't use and easy to access (we were on second of 3 levels). Kitchen had all items needed to do for yourself, but we ate out each night with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Comfy couches and bed and bathroom facilities all above average. Free wifi too. Reception staff were also very helpful (thanks Alan). Will definitely stay again and would recommend to all.

We enjoyed our time at Birches serviced appartments.Appreciated we could have our pet with us, Grt customer service.Secure parking was very handy .public transport was reasonably close.Will will be back when we are next in Melbourne

I've now stayed at the Birches 3 times and it's a great self catering base for every aspect of the most vibrant city in Australia. Close to the hip Fitzroy, eclectic Collingwood, gourmet Carlton, and Richmonds great Vietnamese restaurant street. A short walk to the iconic MCG , Birches is a brilliant stay for match days, or more artistic adventures. Jo the receptionist is fabulous. Top notch service.

Have not stayed here before as I live within an hour of the suburb. Had two days of meetings local and wanted to save the drive. Apartments are a little dated but clean and have everything you need. Quite roomy and have a convenient space to work. Very quiet with a lovely park adjacent to walk in; great local restaurants close by as well.
