Lovely hosts, great breakfast, clean rooms

We stayed at Bitra for 3 nights. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome and during our whole stay we always perceived our hosts as approachable and endlessly helpful. Our room was bright, cosy and clean. So were the bathrooms. Our room was upstairs and there was only one shower, but it was never a problem to find a free shower downstairs. The breakfast was great (the best breakfast we had on our trip). It included home-made jams, different varieties of bread and cereals, fresh fruit and veg etc. We were sorry to have to leave Bitra. Thanks for the great stay!
Good Breakfast

We stayed in this guesthouse for one night in our recent Iceland trip. Although the hostess was kind of cold, and we had to share the bathroom with other guests, we had a good experience overall. We liked their breakfast--fresh bread, variety of jams, and cereals. Compared to other breakfasts we had in other guesthouses, this was one of the best ones. The cozy breakfast room made it feel like a family.

Friendly and welcoming owners. Very helpful with local knowledge and close by eating places. Very good rooms with plenty of space plus areas to sit in the building. Off the maon road so no traffic noise.Great breakfast. Recommended 100%

Stayed for a single night as a family, room was small and sparingly furnished, but clean and cosy. Breakfast was good and we received lots of tips for the day ahead from the owners. Overall one of the better places where we stayed in Iceland.
Beautiful Site with many Icelandic Horses on the Property

Very comfortable room, nice common area upstairs, very clean bathrooms and a delicious breakfast. The owner came to tell us about the northern lights sightings that evening after we went to bed. Of course we got up and went outside! We were so close to the Icelandic horses which was awesome.
