The Black Dolphin Inn is by far the best place away from home I have ever stayed. The accommodations are nothing short of amazing. The decor is beautiful - from the minute we walked in until when we left, we talked about it the entire time! It really is the most amazing place in New Smyrna. The Inn did so many things right; from the snacks and the extensive coffee and tea bar, to the delicious breakfast cooked by Mackenzie (who is also their awesome social media specialist), this place really went above and beyond. They offer free waters and sodas as well, and ice for coolers! They offer the best hospitality and the family is the best group of people you will ever meet. The property is so beautiful and we can't wait to go back!

We went with friends who had been here 4 times before and who really loved it. We were not disappointed! The home is really lovely, overlooking the Indian river. There are even dolphins to "entertain" you when you sit out on the dock. Our room was lovely, large & decorated mid century I would say. Very modern bathroom & we had a small bar in it too with 2 balconies. One was private and the other was shared with the adjoining room ( a perfect set up for a family) We had a King size bed that was very comfortable. There is a lovely courtyard in the back with tables & a fire pit in the front. They have an "open" kitchen with several bar stools to accommodate guests with wine and beer if you prefer. There is always coffee & tea, cookies & fruit available all day for guests. Our breakfast was delicious, prepared by MacKenzie the owners daughter. She was delightful to talk to as was her brother Taylor and father Brett. We will definitely be back !

After googling "unique places to stay in Florida," I was led to The Black Dolphin Inn. Once I was aware of this place, I became obsessed with staying here. The Black Dolphin Inn did not disappoint! A stunning renovation, and beautifully decorated, this place is an absolute gem. We splurged on the honeymoon suite and it was so well worth it! The owners have given utmost care to every last detail. Very impressed with them and their staff. Breakfast with Sheila in the morning was fantastic. Southern comfort and charm at its finest. Can't wait to go back!

Where to start!!! The staff is awesome.Beautiful 3rd floor room overlooking the lagoon. The Smith family is awesome. The breakfast was 5 star all the way- so much fun chatting with Mackenzie and her mom, Shiela at breakfast.
The entire grounds are perfect. Must sit on the dock and watch the Dolphin. We spent every evening there! Neighborhood is great for bike riding. Thanks for such a great time

Our second visit to the Black Dolphin, this time with our family. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and staff at the Black Dolphin. Rooms are exceptional quality and views to die for over the Indian River.
