Lovely Mini Break
Sandra Hon 19/09/2017 21:19Fantastic hotel with a Great Restaurant superb food with a good choice of meals. Stayed in Elwyn room which was very comfortable with all the finishing touches. A very clean, quiet room looked newly furbished. John and his Staff are very friendly and make it very Homely. Look Forward to our next visit. Thank you

Peter Gon 25/05/2017 05:46Stayed at the Black Lion Llanfairtelhairn Saturday 20th May visiting relatives for a 30th Birthday Celebration.
We were greeted by John who was in charge and was a perfect Gentleman, he took us to our room and we couldn’t have asked for better, clean bright and modern.
We told him that there may be another child to cater for as we had our grandson and his little cousin with us, this was not an issue at all, there was even a complimentary bag with toothbrushes sewing kit and razor if you needed it.
We had a lovely time at the party and next day we were again greeted by John and all his very friendly staff, we had a full Welsh Breakfast as they say, and it was beautiful hot fresh and cooked with care well-presented and plenty of it, I would gladly recommend anyone staying at the Black Lion it is a must if you are ever in the area.
Very Good Hotel
Mac-Hussaron 18/05/2017 12:55We visited this hotel after we had received a Buyagift Voucher for a evening meal with bed and breakfast. From the offset we were made really welcome. The room was lovely and spacious and included Tea/coffee making facilities, Sparkling and Still water and a Goodie Bag of Toiletries. The bathroom was also spacious and had a good selection of good quality toiletries.
The table for Dinner was booked for 20:00hrs and was ready on time the menu was more than adequate and the food was lovely. Bar prices were reasonable with a good selection of wines.
Breakfast was excellent with the meat sourced from a local Butchers.
All in all a very good hotel with friendly and helpful staff and in a lovely location just off the beaten track. I would certainly recommend a visit.

The room was beautifully decorated and furnished with everything you need. Spotlessly clean A*****

Michael Hon 01/05/2017 23:54Visited this perfect little hideaway for the May bank holiday just to get away. Came across the hotel on line so always a little anxious until you arrive. From the minute we got there we were made to feel comfortable and at ease by the proprietor John. Room was clean and newly refurbished with good quality toiletries in the bathroom. Bed extremely comfortable and good size. Ate in the restaurant both nights and could not fault the service or quality. Right in the heart of Snowdonia and within 30 min drive of all famous locations in the region. Highly recommend the Black Lion. And will return.
