Clean place close to the international airport
gdcr5910on 13/11/2017 23:18Nice small place neat the international airport. Rooms clean and great shuttle to the airport. Nice location on the river. Breakfast was provided with the room. Staff was friendly and prompt and the shuttle driver was great and very informative.
Not Quite What We Expected
Brenda Lon 28/10/2017 02:23We booked a 3 bedroom unit but when we arrived we were given the choice of a run-down 3 bedroom "villa" down the road or a newer 2 bedroom villa on the river. Of course we choose the 2 bedroom unit. There was no available transportation at the site although a golf cart sat by the front the whole time. A couple of times they did not have some of the items on the menu at the restaurant. One of the bathrooms' shower was clogged and the other did not have hot water in the shower. It was a beautiful site on the river and most of the staff were accomodating but I felt that it was not what we expected. Also, spa was closed.
Great stay
Baskinson 18/09/2017 20:51We booked 2 nights at the Black Orchid to close our trip after 6 days of diving at Caye Caulker. The river setting was beautiful, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and a lunch in the bar, where the bartender showed us the howler monkeys and chatted with us about the Carnival parades happening in the city that day in celebration of St. George's Caye Day. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed and overlooked the pool. My only regret was that we had to cut our stay short to get back to the USA before hurricane Irma made landfall. Thank you to all the staff at Black Orchid for making our time there so pleasant
Great place to Stay.
christinehayden3on 14/09/2017 01:14We were there for 3 days and loved it. People there were wonderful and made us feel like family. They provided transportation to and from the airport, were on time to pick us up and were so friendly and helpful at all times. We did a tour of Lamanai which was totally amazing, and tour of the Belize zoo with a guide from the Black Orchid. This was a great place to relax, talk with local people and walk the grounds. We felt like family by the time we left. The food at the restaurant was very good and breakfast was included with the room. Everyone there was totally amazing!

belizeyoung5on 14/09/2017 00:42We had a fabulous time staying at Black Orchid for 2 nights.We were a family of 15 and we all had such a great time. Best staff, very friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to the bartender, Shay, not sure if that;s her real name and the waitress at the restaurant.Food was delicious.
