Heading home now from our second stay at Black Rhino and have yet again had a terrific trip. The lodge itself is beautiful, all of the staff is very friendly,accommodating and helpful, and the game drives were terrific. Our guides (Steyn on our previous trip, and Marcus this time around) both are very knowledgeable and made sure we saw a lot during our stay. Would highly recommend, and will absolutely be back again.

From the moment we booked ( which was a last minute reservation after a terrible experience at a different camp) we were treated like royalty. The Lodge's manager was friendly and efficient and even though we booked on Christmas Eve they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and luxurious .
The rooms are large and spacious . We even had a splash pool in front of ours . Defiantly 5 star quality . The rangers were knowledgeable and professional . Each one made extra effort to show us one of the Big Five on the game drives .
The food was divine ! We loved tea time and dinners were large but still romantic .
Thank you for a wonderful experience. Even when it was raining the guides were thoughtful and the lodge was amazing . We will recommend your lodge to all travelers in the Pilanesberg . It's a must!!

Phillip our guide was amazing. A very big thank you to him because he made our whole weekend worth while and a big thank you to the other staff. The views were beautiful on our game drives and we were very lucky that we got to see so many animals.

My beautiful wife, Marina, and I booked into the Black Rhino Game Lodge on Saturday, 3 June, the day of our one-year anniversary. The staff were waiting for us when we got there and we immediately felt at home! We checked in and received a delicious lunch, after which Matthew, our host, took our bags and showed us our room, room 10, the most romantic room at Black Rhino. And so our amazing weekend at the lodge started. All we can say is WOW! From the amazing game drives with our ranger, Phillip, who made every second really special, to the delicious food, beautiful room and friendly staff - we were really treated like royalty! On our first night, we received a romantic turn-down with candles, a warm foamy bath and everything and we really celebrated our anniversary in style! On our second night, we had a romantic dinner for two in the bird hide, which was absolutely amazing! The food was incredible, the atmosphere super romantic with candle light and lanterns, and our waitress, Sina, made sure we were relaxed and that we enjoyed every minute of our dinner. Thank you also to the chef, the managers, Michelle and Paul, and everyone who made our weekend so special and unforgettable! We will definitely be back!! Louis & Marina

I booked a birthday weekend away at the Black Rhino Game Lodge as a treat. All staff at the lodge are incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming. This extends from the managers all the way to the cleaning staff. From arrival and throughout our weekend stay, the service was great! There are two game drives a day. 6am and 4pm. Our Ranger Steyn was very knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five!! We had an amazing sighting of 3 cheetah brothers. Weekend is buffet style meals for lunch and dinner. Not a massive spread but good homestyle cooking. You won't go hungry! Breakfast is al la carte and made to order. Drinks not included in their packages. The individual accommodation lodges are clean and open plan and have everything you need. Beds are tuned down in the evening. And made up in the mornings. Although this was a belated birthday getaway because of work commitments, the staff still went out of their way to help me celebrate. Even making me a cake and singing to me. It's the small gestures that really make your stay amazing. I would highly recommend this private game lodge over the other commercialized game lodges in the Pilanesberg!
