Super cute small B&B (only 3 or 4 rooms). Host/hostess very, very friendly and nice. You must be a dog lover to stay here as their cute pups are in and out of the house (but very well-behaved). It's located very close to the Fancy Gap parkway entrance, but be sure to drive in from Hwy 52/Fancy Gap highway rather than the GPS directions that take you on some back roads. The room we stayed in had a bath in the hall but it was still very private and the bed was SO comfortable. We slept like babies!
we left...went to a comfort inn and thought from what we came from we stepped into a 5star hotel

the cottage that we had reserved smelled musty...no phone service...no internet...abanonded school bus on property that a child in our property broke out in a severe rash from approaching.... we left and didn't stay .....the inn keeper was rude and told us it would be a good time to see if our kids wanted to be farmers...lol.....we went to comfort inn and thought we were at the Hyatt lol
Gorgeous views. Gracious hosts. Mountain quiet. Just like home. Not.

Darlene and David are the gracious hosts of this mountain retreat, lodged on the side of a gorgeous Virginia mountain not far from the Mt. Airy and Pilot Mountain made famous - if the names were changed up a bit - by the old Andy Griffith Show. Easily reached from I-77 north or southbound, and within a long stone's throw from the perpetually beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, Blue Ridge Manor Bed and Breakfast goers will find a peaceful place halfway up the mountain, in an area of orchards and farms, graced by dappled sunrays and with even more phenomenal views further up the mountain.
Darlene was helpful to a fault, and the breakfast was simple - grits, fruit, home-made breakfast English muffins stuffed with eggs and bacon - but simply delicious. We enjoyed meeting the other travelers, as well as hearing Darlene and David's fascinating historical take on a number of topics. Darlene recommends - and we would, too - that you skip your GPS/iPhone map's quest to send you over the mountain top to get there, and instead take the bottom-up route, paved from start to finish. However, if you take the high road, be prepared for gravel roads, tight switchback turns, and the occasional washout area!
Our room was ensuite, but some of the others aren't quite that - you may have to exit your room to get to your private bathroom. If that's an issue, make sure to let Darlene know, and select the ensuite accommodations.
We enjoyed our stay - and we'll most certainly be back!
Very good choice.

Lovely rural location, very nice property with very clean comfortable bedroom nicely furnished. Nice lounge area and use of kitchen facilities. The owners go out of their way to make you feel at home.

Be sure to call for directions. GPS is not as good as GPD ( Global Positioning Darlene!)
We were greeted by the family dogs and welcomed like family. We ate with the family and the breakfast was very tasty. Lots of hot coffee. Nice friendly folks!!
True southern hospitality!
