For the second year in a row, the cruising sailors at the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club, had their land cruise in Carmel Valley at the Blue Sky Lodge. It was wonderful - nice rooms, great hosts, nice pool and hot tub, and a family room at which we enjoyed ourselves.
Because the weather was so nice, we spent most of the time outside by the pool, eating, drinking, socializing, and even playing ping pong. A good time was had by all.
Great access, by foot, to the many wine tasting facilities in Carmel Valley. What fun, and safe too.

I cannot say enough about the InnKeeper (Beth) who completely went out of her way to ensure all of us were happy and well cared for. The property would be considered 'Carmel Valley Funky,' in desperate need of new carpet, paint and a trip to Pottery Barn. The beds and pillows, however were outstanding. Rooms were very dated and funky. But clean. Carpet in many of the rooms is old 1970's shag that really should be removed due to the smell.
The common areas, fireplace, couches and outside areas are lovely but could use some nice flowers and landscaping. Even just some large pots of flowers would really spruce the place up.
Expensive I thought for what one got (no breakfast) but then again, it is Carmel Valley and the area is booming.

Overnight getaway with girlfriends was so fun and relaxing at Blue Sky Lodge. Perfect for hanging out in the cozy and warm Library on a beautiful Fall weekend. This rustic, yet very clean and comfortable, lodge was very economical for the five of us. Our hostess, Beth, was so friendly and accommodating and genuinely made us feel welcome. The grounds were beautiful with big oak trees, felt very secluded right off of the main road through town. This is my second stay at Blue Sky Lodge and I will be back.

we were there for a 60th birthday party in Carmel Valley and Beth kindly allowed us an early check in to get ready for the event. She offered the hotel to my friends and myself for quiet drinks after the lunch. If you are looking for a real, retro cool place look no further!

I grew up in the area and had not been there for years. Blue Sky represents Carmel Valley to me and everything that I always liked about the village. Wonderful location and truly friendly staff- Michael and Tom were great and welcoming.
