Had an excellent week in a well run hotel. Staff are all pleasant and professional, I must single out the restaurant waitresses for being very attentive. Food was lovely, enjoyed all meals. Would have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Alpin to anyone.

We were booked with Thomson on an all inclusive basis.

Prior to arriving I made a request via e.mail direct to the Hotel for a specific room. To our pleasant suprise all our requests had been met, High floor, Quiet room facing West to catch the late afternoon sun, brilliant. The room also had a powerfull shower, up to date TV and ample storage space.

I had seen previous posts concerning the availabilty of drinks only between 6pm and 9pm. These posts are a complete nonsense as all inclusive drinks are available from midday until 9pm. The house wine is excellent both in white and red. There was no problems with any of the staff as they all talked at least a little english and communication was easy and always with a smile, in fact All the staff were excellent from the Reception area, cleaners right through to catering.

The food at every meal is served fresh and plentifull. Breakfasts consisted of lovely rolls, cheeses, hams, museli, fruit, various hot and cold drinks, hot food, omlettes cooked to order and other delacasies. If you were intending to go walking all day doggy bags were provided to self make up at breakfast. Lunch was normally a salad buffet and a choice of two or three meats, vegeatables and roast potatoes or something equivalent. Limited choice of dessert but ice cream was available most of the day. The evening meal had a more varied menu soup, salad buffet, usually three or four choices of meat/fish, always an italian pasta option. The staff were very much on the ball clearing plates as well as keeping an eye on replenishing all the food and asking for any more drink orders. All of the waiters worked extremly hard but always with a smile.

The hotel is ideally located. Literally a two minute walk to the Free Kaiser Jet bus stop serving all the local villages and bang opposite the church. The information office and Spar are also on the doorstep. You will not need an alarm clock as there is a church bell performance every day at 7am, just the job to get you up walking. The last chimes are permitted at 11pm.

We will definetly return to this Hotel as there are no major negative points.

Stayed for a week on an all inclusive basis. Nice place to stay. The best part of the stay would have to be the staff. They provide an excellent service and made the holiday for me and my partner. The owner is thought of highly by the staff, so he must be a good boss... and this seems to be reflected in their output as they were great. Especially the small dark haired girl in the eating area...and of course Zsolt.
There's not a lot to the village of Sheffau but there is a free bus along the valley. Only ten mins to the more vibrant Ellmau.
My downside to the holiday: there are two buildings. We was in the one with the reception but no facilities other than the bar which opens at 7:30pm. So if you want the pool...or a sarnie...or anything else....you walk across the car park in whatever the weather may be.
The weather was good and so overall I'd say it's a good place to stay especially with the free bus. Be careful getting the late night last bus....the driver for us was mental 🙃
Lastly, Thomson give the place 4 stars, but it is a 3 star hotel.

    Fantastic!

Just got back from a week's skiing and had to write a review for this brilliant hotel! Super friendly staff, clean, comfortable and the food was excellent. Loads of choice and very tasty. I'm missing this place! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend ❤️

    A cracking hotel

    Stayed during half term.
Had a superior room in the main hotel.
We had to change rooms after a day ( due to a fault in the bathroom) but provided us with bottle of Prosecco and any bottle of wine from the wine list for our trouble.

Meals - tasty and good variety . Lovely tea and cake after skiing and good house wine with dinner. Pizzas were really delicious.

Ski hire - so convenient and friendly. Happy to take time to make sure the boots were fitting and comfortable. No problem when we changed them on 2nd day.

Staff - helpful and friendly ( most of them) only 1 grumpy waitress who we avoided.

Reception staff were lovely, smiley and happy to help where needed.

    Would definitely recommend.

Top tips - ask for extra pillows and turn off the radiator as it's stiflingly hot for sleeping.
