Quaint picturesque setting.lovely host , Main house is being renovated so stayed in out room/small cottage type. Very small and old style sprung mattress very uncomfortable Pillows so soft there was no support. Tiny weeny TV. Wet room bathroom. Very clean.
Breakfast Contiinental every thing there but room freezing!!
Pub facing The George limited opening hours .Crossing the road lethal fast moving traffic have to run !!
Nice place but cold, small and wouldn't stay here again,

Stayed for one night with my daughter who was flying from Stanstead Airport the following day. Lovely accommodation. Continental breakfast was served in a summer house from 7am. You help yourself to a good variety of breakfast items, tea coffee etc. We ate in The George a local pub just across the road in the evening which was very good. Around a 15 minute drive to the airport which was fine. Very friendly host.

Very comfortable bedroom with sitting area (outside as well as in), ensuite shower room (lovely hot water), towels provided. DIY breakfast in separate summer house (plenty to eat and drink) and tea/coffee in bedroom. I arrived later than intended but still had a lovely welcome. Great attention to detail everywhere, spotlessly clean. Yes, you could hear planes going over in the morning, but that wouldn't stop me staying again. Very convenient for Stansted, and parking on site.
My only warning-Google maps has you looking on the wrong side of the road. Look for the George pub and Bonnington's is set back on the road directly opposite)

We stayed just one night at Bonningtons on our journey to the South of England but wished we had been there longer. Angela gave us a very warm welcome and showed us our room and all facilities and nothing was too much trouble. We had room 2 upstairs which was very pleasant with 2 single beds , a spacious bathroom with bath and because room 3 was unoccupied we had the use of the landing with 2 lovely easy chairs. It was very hot the day we arrived and Angela had kept the blinds closed in our room to try and keep it cooler. There were tea and coffee making facilities and Angela showed me where I could get fresh milk from the breakfast room.
Breakfast was in a very pleasant room and offered a vast range of cereals , juices, breads , crumpets - you name it - it was there. There was plenty of room for safe parking and the surroundings were very pleasant.
Admittedly it is on flight path for Stansted but you soon get used to planes and they don't fly at night so not a problem for us.
Thanks Angela for a very pleasant stay and hopefully we will return one day.

Just stayed one night to visit relatives, a warm and friendly welcome, despite our late arrival.
Definitely would stay here again.
Clean and comfortable, lovely self service breakfast.
Very convenient for stansted airport- and a nice pub across the road.
