Totally relaxing in beautiful setting
joycemcneil1on 14/06/2017 09:56The staff are all very helpful without being pushy and one exceptional staff member is the pool girl who is there for your every need towels ,moving you in the shade if necessary, really lovely girl. The hotel is very modern and very well looked after. The food is lovely, not large portions but more than adequate for us. Only one very small negative is that it would be nice if there was maybe more choice in the pool bar as far as food, even if it was just salads, but no complaints about quality.

Lawrence Won 12/06/2017 19:15Although a typical 5 1/2 drive when coming South from Milan (7 1/2 hours when you leave on the Festa della Repubblica Day) staying at Borgo Dei Conti was well worth the trip!
My Wife & I were sorry we had not found this true GEM when we toured the Umbrian Countryside three (3) years ago; as we would have selected Borgo Dei Conti as our "BASE" for the daily travels we made throughout the countryside. The entire estate has that "Old World Charm" that truly enhances a stay. The rooms are nicely decorated with plenty of closet space and a large bathroom that two (2) people can use at the same time without bumping into each other!
The Infinity Pool; although not heated; is huge. The grounds around it are lovely with an large dining area for the lunches we had; that were prepared in the kitchen adjacent to the pool deck. Hot Food always arrived Hot & Cold Plates arrived Cold as expected. The only thing lacking were sufficient chaise lounge chairs as we were in a group of +60 people making obtaining a chair difficult. But there was no problem to lie on the lawn as the pool attendant provided extra towels as needed and did not adhere to one towel / guest.
We enjoyed two (2) fantastic dinners on the extra large patio next to the main buildings. The staff who were cooking / carving / serving were attentive to everyone's needs and dining at Borgo Dei Conti was another high-lite of our stay.
On the Sunday we were leaving; five (5) couples from the +30 remained; we requested a late check-out; which was quickly accommodated. The Management even went so far as to offer us the continued use of our rooms until 6:00pm if needed before our departure. Outstanding!
Wonderful stay at Borgo Dei Conti

The staff couldn't have been friendlier and more welcoming, specially Riccardo who gave us great recommendations on what to visit in the area. We were also given a lovely cot to use in our room. The facilities (our room, spa, swimming pool) and gardens were amazing and we really enjoyed the privacy. It's a unique spot!

Stephanie Aon 28/05/2017 16:46The view, as the taxi approaches the drive, takes your breath away! It's a stunning estate with a considerable history! The incredible welcome from Ricardo who made us feel as if we were visiting friends, was amazing! We were led immediately to the bar terrace, served wine and a stunning selection of 'nibbles'. The lovely receptionist then gave us a tour of the historical buildings, before showing us a perfect room with easy access to the outdoor pool. We spent three days relaxing, walking through the beautiful forests and lazing by the pool! Three nights also, thoroughly enjoying beautifully presented and stylish food, with amazing wines! All the staff were immensely friendly and clearly passionate about the hotel and its values. Special mention must be made of the Sommelier (Nicolo?), Maitre d' (Yanni?), Barman (Manuelo?) all of whom went the extra mile! Ricardo incredibly gave us a private tour of some of the hidden treasures of the site and impressed us with his knowledge and personality. This break was far too short! We want to return as soon as we can and for longer!! We often talk about the need to exceed customer expectations - Borgo dei Conti well and truly exceeded ours! Thank you to everyone involved!
