Water tepid, bad start. Food so so. The bathroom, sinks, floors filthy, yellow water dripping into a filthy pail from ceiling .Some walls are buckling, bad sign.
It's sad because it was never like this in the past. It definitely has gone downhill.

I get take out from The Himalayan Restaurant about twice a month, sometimes more. The food is FAST and DELICIOUS!
The service is friendly and knowledgeable.
My favourite snack from the Himalayan Restaurant is the Vegetarian Samosa's (8) for under $7.00 which is a SUPER deal......they are available with a choice of dipping sauces, mine
is the green chili.......HOT and SPICY!!!
Walk-in service for take-out and there are a few tables for eat-in.
They are closed on Tuesdays and always very busy when they are open.
An excellent choice for a family get-together or take-out for date night too!

We were looking for a local restaurant to buy samosas. Found the Himalaya online - it had good reviews. Tried it for ourselves (take-out), and loved it! The place is not fancy but the samosas, in our opinion, are fantastic. The owner/staff (not sure which) who served us were very friendly and added a few extra items to our order without mentioning it - found these when we got home. Just shows they appreciate new customers - and we appreciate both that and their delicious samosas and sweets! We'll definately be back!

This place may not be to everyone's liking, but I have to say that I love this place. It is nothing to look at but the staff are always very friendly. I normally come here and take out the best Samosas in town but today my partner and I sat down to enjoy our lunch here. I normally just get their lunch platter and add a few Samosas and Pakoras. So two lunch platters, four samosas, and two pakora came to $22.00. Amazing food, I love this place. Even if you don't want a meal stop in and pick up the samosas - the best in Hamilton.

Just popped in last week for a quick order of samosas, you can't get any better than these! Great service, great pricing, fantastic food. I wish I didn't have to drive 10km to get there, I'd be so happy to come in more often.
