What People are saying

Nice hotel but too process led.

EastMayoAngler on 21/11/2017 00:56

This recently refurbished hotel is in a great location by Boston Common. The lobby, bar and rooms are of a high standard.

What lets it down is the conveyor belt attitude and process. Everything seems to be geared to get you in and out as quickly as possible with minimal interaction from staff.

On arrival it is not obvious where to check in with numerous queues and starting at 06:00 in the morning they send hourly e-mails prompting you to check out. This was incredibly frustrating as it disturbed our sleep on the hour every hour.

Good quality rooms however considering the low prices relative to other options in Boston.

I expect that with the refurbishment came new management. With more experience they will hopefully place greater emphasis on the customer experience and realise the potential of this hotel.

Tony hotel, great location, great service

Great atmosphere, large workout facility, ease of access for walking or public transit. Great customer service upon check in and departure. The lobby is a great place to socialize or dine. My room was on the small side, but perfect for 1-2 people who intend to be out of the room most of the time Amenities were also lovely. I was also allowed to check in a bit early which absolutely changed my day for the better!

Great Boston Weekend Getaway

Every time I come to Boston I stay at the BPP. Such a quiet yet convenient location within Boston. I wouldn't stay any where else. The concierge was very helpful in getting us Trolley tickets and info on the city. I can't wait to get back again. The remodel of the hotel makes for a very luxurious stay and I love the modern yet old school charm oozing out of every area of the hotel.

Average, small rooms

My wife and I stayed on the 14th floor. The room was very small, no room to swing a cat, the bathroom was tiny and decorated really poorly, with the toilet installed at an angle as there wasn’t enough room for it to be fitted straight and a sink so small, it was like a dolls house, clearly refurbishment costs have been spent on common areas. The airlines use this hotel for their overnight stays and that is right that the rooms are ideal for one person, especially as there is only one chair of any description, we noticed this when e had room service, they charge you $4 to deliver plus add 18% gratuity, I feel that is greedy as we had to eat off the bed. The wardrobe was an alcove with a curtain as a door. More work is needed in claiming a refurbishment of rooms.

The reception, restaurant and bar are all open plan, on the mezzanine the banqueting and meeting rooms, one night two guitarists made it very loud and noisy as there was a teenage function going on as well.

Buy your soft drinks not at the shop, $5 for a bottle of water.

Good points, the hotel is central, there’s a fridge in the room, a good sized TV and reasonably clean, although very small towels.

Would I stay again, if the price was right.

Lyme Symposium

ricktesoriero on 20/11/2017 12:56

Great experience--I loved the Mobile Check in---that means I didn't have to wait in line to get my room key--When we got to our room however ,it was very, very small. If it was just myself it would have been fine . My wife can=me with me and we didn't have enough space for our clothes--It was late that night when we got there so I told her in the am I would check to see if I could do an upgrade. My paper work from the hotel said I could for an extra $19.00 per night. I was willing to do that.
I went to the front desk the next morning explained the situation. The girl that helped me ,excused herself to speak with her manager. When she came back she provided me with a new room that was 3times the size of the first and told me they would not charge me the upgrade fee and to have a great day.
Everyone that I encountered in the hotel always had a "Goodmorning " , "Positive attitude" and How can we help you today !!!!
When I go back to Boston--even if it is out of my way I will be staying there again---not to mention it is located in the middle of everything so while I was at my symposium my wife had lots to go explore
