    What People are saying

Is everyone trying to win employee of the month!

Seriously, the people at this hotel could not do enough to make our stay an enjoyable and personal experience. How many hotels greet you by name when you arrive back after a days' sightseeing?

Nothing was too much trouble from booking the car back to the airport to finding a UK to Us plug adaptor for some obscure piece of tech' lurking in my son's kit bag, they just wanted to help.

The rooms street side all had a great view of the Empire State building and the roof top bar is a great place to spend some time relaxing after taking in the sights. The rooms were well equipped, comfortable and contemporary. We stay here again in a heart beat. For the Marriott Vacation club readers be aware the rooms are not normal vacation club level in terms of size, but who cares right. you came to New York to sample the energy, not sit in your hotel room and watch the TV.

5th Avenue is less than 1 minute from the lobby, masses of places to eat within ten minutes including Broadway and Time Square.

Only issue with such a positive review is that you all now book this venue and limit my chances of going back again soon. Book it now.

    Nice stay, good position

    Moris C on 20/11/2017 10:09

I've been there in February 2017 for 4 nights, business trip. The position is excellent in Manhattan! Next to the 5th Av. DUring my stay they were working fo rrenovations therefore the lobby was not excellent. The room was quite enough for me, very small breakfast available. The room was not so big but enough clean. It was a good balance between price/position/quality. For my next visit to NYC I would probably consider this hotel again.

    Great location

A great location. Staff was very friendly. Room was small but very comfortable. I would certainly stay here again. Easy to get to the subway. Close to Times Square and the Empire State Building. Easy walk to Heralds Square Macy’s.

The best hotel in the city

    weluv2travel07 on 07/11/2017 22:40

We have been to NYC several times and always chuckle when other reviewers write"the rooms are small" yes they are in NYC! I was expecting the same here, but not the case. We had a king room deluxe with a pull out couch. The room was big and the bathroom was an incredible size! Rainfall shower head plus a hand held shower! The whole hotel is amazingly clean and spotless! The staff is incredibly friendly! I almost hate to write such an exceptional review for fear that they maybe sold out next time I go to book! The location is key. Fresh cucumber or mint water in the lobby, elevator time acceptable, oh and the roof top bar! The best view of the Empire State bldg for sure! In room safe, suitcase valet, chocolates on our bed at night, refridgerator, coffeemaker, 24 hr gym and an office center to print out your plane tickets. When we were there, the printer was broken, so the front desk was more than happy to print our travel documents for us. This is by far and away my go to hotel in the city.

Splurge on an Empire State Building View

    JC-OMCA on 07/11/2017 06:18

We are Marriott Vacation Club owners and wanted to see what these urban Vacation Clubs offered. Small rooms, definitely, but what a terific location! And the view of the Empire State Building was spectacular. (Also 25 water towers on neighboring rooftops: a very NYC experience.) As other reviewers mentioned, the staff is very friendly and competent, and the rooftop bar is a highlight. The breakfast, though, is truly awful. Better to walk down 37th St. towards 6th Ave. and pick up a bagel and lox and banana at a cafe, bring it back and enjoy it with your in-room excellent Starbucks coffee. The jury is still out on whether this was a better choice than a regular Marriott hotel with more amenities, but the small club-like atmosphere and lack of convention crowds makes me think we will return.
