Six of us stayed in the Brackenridge House Bed and Breakfast for three days. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is very good with a different main course each day. Breakfast was served on the the upstairs front veranda for two of our days. A spacious and covered rear veranda with cushioned outside furniture was perfect for cocktails in the evening. We walked to The San Antonio River Walk two blocks away. There are three restaurants (we ate in all three) of different ethnic backgrounds (Mexican, Italian, Belgian) serving outstanding and delicious entrees within three blocks of Brackenridge House Bed and Breakfast. Lily was enjoyable to talk with and offered help with directions and was very accommodating to our needs by serving breakfast earlier the day we left for our long drive to Big Bend National Park.

We enjoyed our stay here over Columbus Day weekend immensely. Upon checkin, Lily greeted us and explained the process, a few regulations and local area. We had the Cardinal Room in the back and it was charming with awesome AC and a delightful bathroom and closet. At night, you can hear the restaurant and train noises out in the back but the noise is fairly well insulated inside. We had complete privacy. I had selected Brackenridge because it had free wifi, parking and breakfast and all 3 were exemplary. The breakfast really was divine and I was sad to have only experienced one. Forget the chain hotels, we'll be back here next time when we visit SAT.

Beautiful B&B! It's close to everything and we were able to walk everywhere. The suite was beautiful and roomy. The breakfasts are amazing!! The house is furnished beautifully. I loved having breakfast on the porch. We will be back!

I travel to SA every February and July for convention stuff. When I leave the convention, I like a more quiet setting away from all of the hotels. The owners are like friends since I've stayed here for many years. It's a beautiful old, Victorian house. I think I've probably stayed in all of the rooms at one time or another. They are all beautiful. I'm an old, romantic soul so this house really speaks to me.
Also, some of the most awesome restaurants are within a few blocks of the Brackenridge House. Tito's, Rosario's, Azuca, La Foccacia and Madhatters are among my favorites. Garcia's Art Glass always has something beautiful that you're sure to take home.

One of the great memories about visiting San Antonio was my time in Brackenridge House, this comfortable and beautiful Bed and Breakfast make my trip one of the best experiences that I had, the room was beautiful decorated and the attention of their employees make me feel relax and happy, like if I was in home, food incredible!!!
I highly recommend this beautiful place if you visit San Antonio.
