Spent two nights here, the check in was quick and the hotel is in a great location. It seems like an odd layout at first but was really quite nice. The room was large and even though it faced the street was fairly quiet. Decent breakfast as well.

This Lodge is in a fantastic location. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Their recommendations on food and places to visit were very good. The room was large and the bed comfortable. The bathroom and room was clean. The only thing I would say is that it did not have air con.

Positives: good location, parking $5 per day, fruit-infused water provided in the lobby, free breakfast. I was there in summer and on Wednesdays there’s a farmers’ market right next to the hotel.
Negatives: no airconditioning in summer, washroom badly needs updating, worn out carpets, decor and bedspread look old, no fridge in room

We had two nights in late September here and found it welcoming and homely, and in a good location to explore this wonderful area. Rooms clean, spacious and service excellent. Breakfast rather like a youth hostel room and not a great ' continental ' breakfast it must be said; limited range and small servings. Would return certainly but eat breakfast elsewhere!

We were given a 'lodge' room which had a mezzanine which was incredible! We were also welcomed with some fizz and choc as we were on our honeymoon which was very nice (many hotels didn't acknowledge it so was special when they did) breakfast isn't great but hotel is well located downtown and within walking distance of plenty of shops restaurants and bars
