"5OTH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS"
tracey j on 19/11/2017 04:53
Stayed at Bridge street apartments (10th-12th November) with my three sisters to celebrate one sisters 50th birthday in Liverpool. The apartments were about a ten minute walk from Lime street station and are situated bang smack in the middle of the shopping centre next to the Cosy club restaurant.
We arrived at 2pm and was greeted on reception by a nice friendly girl called Alliayah who explained all about the apartment and gave us our keys.
We stayed in room 1004 which was on the top floor and had great views of the city. Our apartment was bright and clean with two double bedrooms one having an ensuite, a main bathroom and an open plan kitchen and lounge. Supplied were towels and toiletries, and various tea bags and coffee pods that kept all four of us going for the weekend.
All around us were restaurants, shops, clubs and bars most had live music including the famous Cavern club. A short walk away is the Albert dock, Liver building and museums all alongside the river Mersey so lots to do and see.
Check out time on the Sunday was 11am and we were able to leave our luggage with kind man on reception until we were ready for our train back home.
A great weekend for us all and would definitely stay here again.
Finally really must add that Liverpudlians are the most friendliest people you could meet!

Don’t really know were to start
Arrived mon 6th Nov staying until Thursday 9th Nov.
Went straight to apartment around 9.30 in the morning greeted by a lovely girl who gave us our room straight away this was great as you usually don’t get your room until 3.00pm.
Had a lot of issues with cold air blowing into the bedroom through a vent. Reported to reception they came up told us we needed to turn our hot water off to stop this.
Went to reception next day to say about the air vent, and a girl called Claire whom I found to be very arrogant and more or less said I was telling lies as they didn’t have air con said she would sent a maintenance guy to our room. This issue went on a while Maintenance guy said hot water had noting to do with it he got up tightened the vent all was well.
But we couldn’t shower that day because we were told to turn the hot water off.
It gets worse I asked Claire if we could have more towels as we needed clean ones. Her replay was no you only got one set of towels unless you were there for a week that’s why they had washing machines in the apartments. I have never been anywhere that didn’t supply clean towels and I certainly wasn’t going to start washing them.
I told her had it said this in the description I would have brought my own towels.
Not only did you not get towels your rubbish wasn’t emptied and we had to buy loo rolls.
There was a heated towel rail in the bathroom but of course these had all be disconnected as someone burnt themselves the don’t tell you that either.
When you did have a shower you had to keep the door opened with a shoe to get rid of the steams
All in all not the break I was expecting I certainly won’t be back I don’t use towels in my own house for 4 days I’m certainly not paying to do it.
Excellent faultless apartments...

About 8-10 minutes walk from Lime Street station this hidden apartment block is a true gem.
The location is excellent, right next to Liverpool One so restaurants and shops are right on your door step.
The apartment itself was faultless, nice clean living space, comfy sofas and beds and a kitchenette with everything you need.
On top of that, the staff were brilliant, especially Claire who checked us in. She without a doubt has to be the most welcoming, friendly, helpful and funniest member of staff we have ever encountered in any of the hotels/apartments we have stayed at. Truly an asset to the team.
I definitely recommend Bridgestreet Apartments for anyone wanting to stay in Liverpool city centre.
Prime central location

Based right in the heart of the city everything is on your doorstep. The apartments are well appointed, clean and secure. Underground parking is available but our satnav took us to Tesco. However, we parked around the corner in Hanover Street Q parking which, as it turns out, the apartments offer you a discount voucher for. It is only a few minutes walk to the apartment.
The only initial difficulty was finding the apartments as its not really clearly visible from any roads. However, just walk into the shopping precinct and you will find the entrance.
We would definitely stay again. In my view the best place to stay for central access to everything Liverpool has to offer.
Mixed Opinions

The apartment itself was pleasant, very basic but everything you would need. However the general cleanliness wasn’t great, on arrival there were coffee rings on the table from where it had not been wiped properly and a few of the kitchen utensils were dirty. Having arrived fairly late in the evening, both my partner and I were looking forward to having a shower and getting into a warm bed, we were told by reception that our boiler would have to be pumped for hot water in the evening, which is not a problem if you are able to actually get it to work. After many failed attempts we gave up and went to bed. We had a generally comfortable and cosy night of sleep, little disturbance from outside noise (we were on the first floor). Disappointed again with the shower in the morning, I was able to have a warm shower for about ten minutes until the water cut out and ran freezing cold, my partner however tried to have one about an hour later and the water was still freezing cold (the welcome pack advised that the hot water would automatically come on in the morning and should span two-three showers). Overall we had a comfortable and pleasant stay, just a shame about the hot water and lack of attention to detail in regards to cleaning. Location is fantastic and local amenities are within easy reach.
