Great as always

Really convenient hotel when visiting businesses in the area, Staff great and property up to the highest Marriott standards. Small problem with my booking resolved without fuss or panic. Food in the bar was great quality but a little pricey. They have coupons for the food at many of the mall outlets.
Tell 'em you took a cab... or an uber... or a friend drove you... etc

This a typical Marriott, quietly competent but deadly boring. It would be a waste of time to go through the architecture and the interior decorations -- trust me, it lives up to the Marriotts tradition of being ordinary. It's true claim to fame is its location - it is convenient to several highways. If it weren't for the location, there is no way it would do the business it does. It's a typical Marriott with small pricy rooms with marginally comfortable beds and pillows. And they charge for WIFI!! Are you kidding me? No one charges, not even Hilton. The TV selection is a joke as well. FYI, there is only ONE truly handicapped room with a "wheel in" shower for the truly handicapped. I know this because we know someone who was asked to move out of the "truly handicapped room" when a wheelchair bound guest arrived. The mgr swore to them that the shortage would be addressed during "the remodeling", but when they asked when that remodeling would occur, he didn't answer. So, if you are traveling with a "wheelchair bound" loved on, check carefully as to what room you get. Having grips on a traditional tub when you have to wheel a loved one into a shower does NOT qualify as handicapped.
The bar and grill follow the seemingly "universal" Marriott formula of serving overpriced drinks and food -- $20 for a glass of wine that would cost you $5-$8 anywhere else. Fortunately there are several alternatives available at the mall - one of which you can walk to if you are brave (NJ drivers are bad). Interestingly, this particular restaurant does not appear on the hotel TV web site. You can dine and drink at these restaurants for half of what you'd spend at the Marriott. At that rate you'd have plenty of cash left over for a late night drink at the Marriott bar.
The thing that "fried us" is the newly discovered parking fee. We have stayed here off and on for quite some time - six times in 2017 alone. They have NEVER charged for parking, until now. I should have know something was up when the check in gal asked if I was parked outside. Like an idiot I say yes, and then I'm screwed without knowing it. $15/day plus tax. When I complained at the desk an obnoxious (rhymes with itch) condescendingly told me "we've ALWAYS charged for parking". Huh? I'm on line looking at my last six receipts and I see ZERO parking charges. This "itch" lied to me.
This is my advise to all of you. LIE. When you check in and some "itch" asks you if you are parked outside, SAY NO. If pressed you can say you took a taxi, or an Uber/Lyft, or even say a friend dropped you off. Otherwise, keep you mouth shut. There are not parking lot guards to monitor the lot. There is no in/our bar that is activated by a swipe card, so there is no way for anyone to dispute your assertions.
For those of you planning special events such as retirement parties, wedding receptions, etc. ... it is unfortunate that now you need to NEGOTIATE PARKING for you guests. Too bad. This is typical corporate greed that needs to be addressed.
Like I said above, this is an ordinary place - neither good nor bad. With that in mind, if you don't like the terms of your wedding, retirement, birthday party arrangements, move on ... look elsewhere.
Brides Beware!

I absolutely under no circumstances would recommend having your wedding guests stay in this hotel. Brittany, the "Event Coordinator", was absolutely horrible. Not only was she difficult to get a hold of (required multiple phone calls because she would not return voicemails and emails were slow), but she also did not help us with ANYTHING. She gave us no information on After Party or Brunch options until we asked and it was too late because it was all booked. She also did not help us get more rooms for our wedding block when all of our rooms were almost all booked.
The hotel also prevented my guests from checking into their rooms when they were supposed to and did not rope off a section at the bar they had promised me for a small, informal "after party". They allowed a college football team to stay too late in their hotel rooms which caused the majority of my guests to be unable to check in to their rooms on time. The shuttle then had to leave late in order to wait for all the guests that weren't able to check in until the very last minute. At the end of the night, no roped off section for the small, informal "after party" was present (the most they could even offer me after dropping the ball on giving me after party options).
I had really wanted to like this hotel as it seemed beautiful aesthetically but it was a real let down. Don't make the same mistake I did!
Extraordinary Service

We stayed at this location over the past weekend as part of a Bar Mitzvah event. I usually travel for business at least 40 weeks in a year, sometimes staying in three different locations in one week (i.e. I experience many hotels). The staff of this hotel provided the best service I have experienced in recent memory. Some examples: 1) check in was very busy when we arrived. I had requested adjoining rooms but this was not in the record. The desk manager went out of her way to find suitable rooms and because I had to wait a bit, she provided us with an upgrade. 2) We brought a few bottles of wine with us. The bartender not only opned these with a smile but also provided wine glasses for our room. 3) We left some clothes in the closet which I had offered to drive back to get. No need, the staff said they would put them in the mail.
Everyone we encountered during our stay was extremely friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the hotel.
Great stay, beautiful hotel

It looks like the hotel was newly renovated and this place was busy. There were 6 weddings booked this weekend but they were still able to accommodate everyone. The hotel staff went above and beyond expectations and the food at the restaurant was surprisingly great, even if a little pricey. Couldn’t have better things to stay about this property or its staff, highly recommend for weddings, or just a “regular” stay.
