What People are saying

Disappointing

mikesjourneysofar on 19/11/2017 10:43

Our room was promoted as a renovated studio but lacked basic maintenance. The list of issues included blown bulbs, broken towel rack, door locks partially falling off, fire doors ajar and a shower putting water all over the floor tiles. Charges for wifi and if you use the toilet paper roll it's 1.2 dollars extra for another. Same goes for more coffee etc.

Don't bother staying here if you have a nice car

Shimsladey on 11/11/2017 02:55

Didn't even end up staying the night. Thought I'd scored a good deal when I got booked the room on a (supposedly) half price deal. The room still wasn't worth the $130 as I usually stay at a little old style place up the road for around the same price (which was unfortunately booked out) that has nicer, cleaner rooms and friendlier service. Not to mention somewhere you can actually park your car.

When I booked I assumed (silly me) being a multi story resort they would have plenty of underground parking so decided to give my nice car (which I actually put in car shows from time to time) a run for the weekend. When I discovered one level of parking with VERY minimal spaces I was shocked especially when half of them seemed to be allocated to private residences that we weren't allowed to use.

The room was very shabby and due to an error when booking I ended up in a restricted access room. I would hate to of been of real need of this room as anyone with a disability would not doubt struggle with the setup. I find it hard to believe someone in a wheelchair could possibly get themselves through the confined space to enter the bathroom.

As I had to go out to drop some things off to friends I thought I would hopefully get a carpark when I returned later. Of course with the handful on offer I was out of luck. Being close to a dining and nightlife precinct finding a vacant park on the street isn't easy and the only one I found was over block away. As it was pouring down I decided to find somewhere else to stay where I could park my pride and joy safely and securely without the need of being drenched in the rain.

Of course the reception was closed so I got back and simply packed up my things and dropped the keys in the express check out box. I would also like to make comment how the resort seems to hide the fact it is a 'Breakfree' establishment which should of been a red flag when I arrived. This is the last time I will ever book into one of their woeful accommodations as this is the third time I have found that chain to be well below par.

ticked all the boxes

A quiet modern resort had all I needed in a holiday apartment. great location!! walking distance to casino and pacific fair. soft comfortable bed. great views of lights at night. I liked the private bath size spa. would have been better if it was bigger. Full-size fridge and oven. I enjoyed the free breakfast. no crowds no waiting for lifts. tv needs replacing with a bigger one and relocated from the top of a fridge to bedroom wall. that my preference. the staff was friendly and helpful. let me check in early. clean and tidy. I will definitely stay again . highly recommend.

Over priced

garrygriffiths2016 on 30/10/2017 00:14

Old run down dirty place. Price was a rip off for what you were supposed to get. Went to sit on balcony with a glass of wine with my wife. 1 wine glass. Useless. Thought we would go for a swim and a spa bath. Got to the pool area and the spa was not working and had bunting tape all over the rails. Looked like it had been that way for a while. Initial contact with reception was very good. When asked what I thought of our stay the morning staff person was really rude when I told her the place wasn’t up to standard for the dollars charged

Weekend away for a mobility impaired person

The room is meant to be suitable for diability access but there is no way in the world a person confined to a wheelchair would be able to access the bathroom.
The "Resort" may be undergoing a refurb but the room presentation is rather ordinary.
The spa is not working, and appears to have been in that condition for quite some time.
The Continental Breakfast that was presented consisted of eggs, lukewarm baked beans, bread for toasting, a small jar of Vegemite, honey, 3 choices of cereals with longlife milk, one type of cut fruit and reconstituted orange juice or water.
Hardly worth the $10 per head for the "pleasure"
The car parking is random and no enforcement of Disability Parking as per Government or Local Council bylaws and Town Planning approval is observed by guests or management. Too bad if the car park is full, you park on the street whether you are disabled or not.
There is no table and chairs provided should you chose to dine in apart from the small patio setting.
Sure I could have found a better place if information was honest on booking sites.
