Needing accommodation near Rugby. as I was attending a funeral, this grade II* Hotel seemed ideal. It certainly is a building on the grand scale in extensive attractive grounds within easy reach of walks by the River Swift. My room was huge and can best be described as shabby chic with no item matching any other. The bed was fairly comfortable, but not so the pillows. The restaurant menu appeared not to change daily and for an establishment of this category the prices were expensive, with extra being charged for vegetables and side salads. There was no inclusive three course table D’hote nor bread being offered from a basket. Wi-fi connection was good. It needs a long overdue renovation but I did leave, in spite of these shortcomings, having quite enjoyed my short stay there. My view is now soured a little as I appear to have chosen the wrong week: prices this week being £40 less per night than I was charged a few days ago. I can appreciate higher prices in summer or at Christmas/New Year. This was November. The staff are hard working and welcoming. Check-out time is 11.00am.

I often stay over in Rugby for business and this hotel is my number one preference. The hotel has character, the staff friendly and genuine and the service is always excellent. The only slight gripe is that the menu doesn’t change much, but that is largely due to the regularity of my stays than an issues with the choices

Staff are so helpfull and happy . food is great. And the rooms over the stable block are are a huge and wonderfull.
Also booked a disabled room for my mother and she found it very good she was even templed to have a bath.

We drove up to the hotel and it looked magnificent. What a lovely surprise. It is old, gothic and different. So much better than a modern set of boxes. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were all so professional, friendly and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was gorgeous and the room itself has so much character. We have really enjoyed our stay and will be keen to come back. We are in the main house but there are also rooms in the courtyard.

I would just like to thank everyone for making the masked ball on October 28th very enjoyable. The room looked awesome, the food was amazing and there was just the right amount of people so that you could get served at the bar without waiting and room to dance on the dance floor. My only issue was the DJ not having the songs I requested and they were not extra-ordinary. Look forward to booking another event at the hall and bringing more friends with me as I think they would thoroughly enjoy the experience. Thank you once again
