2 nights here. Recommend supper here. We were the only ones that night but it was like having a private chef. Great log fire in sitting room. Breakfasts excellent. As others have said the room and bathroom are a little compact but the attention to detail is spot on. Do book.

Stayed in Brunswick House as I was attending a wedding in nearby Lartington Hall.
Comfortable, warm, clean room with tea making facilities, small fridge, complimentary water etc.
Lovely ensuite, and flat screen tv.
The breakfast was amazing and the owner Andrew kindly dropped me off at Lartington Hall the next day to collect my car.
I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

After 9 long days on the Pennine Way, it was nice to enjoy some luxury in Middleton. This was probably the best accommodation we had on the entire walk. It isn't the cheapest, but you absolutely get what you pay for. The rooms were beautiful, the packed lunch great and the breakfast the best on the PW bar none. Go ahead and treat yourself!

Only a handful of the b&b's we stayed in during our 16-day Pennine Way journey stands out in our minds - and this is one of them. The clean room, blending of traditional and modern touches, and personable service were first rate. Only four stars because we did find our room a bit too small to accommodate our gear... However, we award best breakfast and (especially) packed lunch awards to the Brunswick House. Many thanks!

Great bed and breakfast
Well equipped rooms,situated in quiet village.
Some rooms overlook road at front ,rear rooms overlook river to rear.
Bed and breakfast has a sitting room where you can sit and relax and buy a drink from the bar.
Breakfasts excellent.
Tv and tea making facilities in room.
Village has two pubs,and a couple of restaurants.
We ate at a bistro on Main Street,was very good and good value.
