Very quiet located in Butgenbach, a nice little town where you can walk and bike endlessly.
The "Butgenbacherhof hotel is the best in town".
Rooms: clean, cosy and comfortable. Not the top of the World concerning wellness, but everything is there and again clean and complete. Fitness room and swimming pool makes it all complete.
Renting bikes is possible.
Food is excellent and service aswell. Good and wide balanced list of international and national wines.
PERFECT RELATIONSHIP PRICE / QUALITY.
An excellent place to relax and enjoy and an ideal base to discover Eastern Belgium

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel that is an excellent place to relax and enjoy.
The room I stayed in was spacious, comfortable and very clean.
Breakfast was spot on and the hotel's restaurant serves excellent food.
The hotel has a small gym worthy of that name (unlike many other hotels) and its spa is cosy and offers everything that can be expected of a welness area.
Moreover, the hotel is ideally located for travellers eager to explore Eastern Belgium.
Finally, the management and staff are most friendly and helpful and fluent in German, Frech, Dutch and English.
Could be better

We were on our way to this hotel where we had reserved a night. We got very delayed and called them, because it would also mean that we would be late for dinner. We got so frustrated when they did not answer the phone. The answering machine told us the restaurant was closed. To get in touch with the hotel, we would have to send a mail which is not easy when you are in a foreign country with no internet. At the hotel we got a nice but small room. The breakfast was very good. Our next stay at the hotel went more smoothly.
Perfect place to stay with spa and great restaurant

It is difficult to fault this family run gem which is close to the village centre but set in its own quiet grounds.
It has a nice pool area although if there are several people in the pool it is difficult to do lengths as the pool narrows abruptly at one end... but this wasn't a particular issue for us.
The staff are very friendly and proficient right through from arrival to departure. it has a wonderful terrace where you can relax and take pre-dinner drinks (where we were also served delicious amuse-bouches) and the restaurant itself serves food of the very highest quality.
We loved it here... a really excellent place to stay in this pleasant small village.
Never a desillusion

This hotel is located in the East part of Belgium near the German border. Everybody speaks Flemish, French and German and a stay is sublime. We go there each year three to four times. The food is incredible and the wines are value for money. The region has many beautiful walking tracks and the Vennbahn (bike trail) is astounding. Visit also Eupen, Malmédy and Sankt-Vith.
