Friendly staff,Good service I would highly recommend, very reasonable rates really enjoyed our stay. The whole family enjoyed the food and hospitality and would happily stay there again. The only fault I could find was the weather but we were in Scotland in late November, however the warm welcome compensated for that.

Beautiful surroundings and a lovely place to hold a wedding. Driving up tje drivewau at night is breath taking. Nothing was to much trouble for Ann she went out her way to accommodate and make us feel welcome. Our room was large, clean and I would be happy to recommend them.
Wedding plans seem to go very smoothly and really is a lovely place to have a full wedding
Dirty and harmful to health

Rooms not really clean (hair in shower and bathroom), but the worst of all is the food they serve you there: two starters were served with moldy bread, the second time even after claim. Main dishes: Spaghetti bolognese was rather arrabiata (what did they try to cover up?) and mexian dish was charred. Breakfast the next morning with expired cereals, just hot water instead of tea and only with much concession a second slice of toast. Therefore they wanted to charge 4 Pounds??? Seems they just want the Money, but not give any effort.

room was freezing, couldn't put radiator on so next morning after breakfast I asked member of staff for an extra blanket and why radiator wouldn't come on, she said she would sort heating and give us an extra blanket. We came back early evening, bar was very busy with a wedding, we were advised about this and went straight to our room, which was through the bar.
oom again was freezing, didn't know how to phone down as no number for switch was in the room, so I went down and waited at the bar. eventually spoke to someone who gave us a heater a blanket.
As for breakfast, it was okay, cereal yogurt etc, we just wanted cooked breakfast and was given 1 of each item, and quarter of a tomato, 3 really lightly cooked toast, yuk, had to ask for butter. The next morning my partner asked for 2 eggs, he was given 1, also had to ask for butter again, had to explain to waitress that it wasn't butter on the table, also was only 2 very lightly toasted bread that day, had to ask for more to eat with our breakfast when it arrived, but we did get half a tomato, coffee was good on the 1st morning, but horrible on the 2nd day.
would not stay here again, even at half the price
Fantastic Country House hotel

Lovely establishment, great old manor house architecture which has been tastefully modernized, (would make a lovely wedding venue) Friendly staff nothing was a problem to them, I only had the one meal but it was well cooked and delicious, breakfast had the usual cereals with a full cooked after (I was ready to go back to bed for a nap afterwards!!) I honestly can't see why the negativity in previous comments as it nearly steered me away, I am so glad I didn't listen to the reviewers who presumably watch far too much four in a bed on channel 4 and think they should be getting 5 star hotel treatment from a 3 star hotel prices.
Keep up the good work I will be a returning customer!
