Best Kept Secret!

Shhhhh!...if you book into the Queen Room with Spa, which are the top end of the accommodation range here at this funky backpackers Inn, you get the best room at the most affordable price in town - and in spitting distance from one of the loveliest beaches! The rooms are simple but large, clean and comfy, and recently refurbed with balconies too. Lots of seasoned travelers around to give you the low-down, friendly staff, parking, and in close proximity to town with some good places to nosh on either side. Big thumbs up if you are on a budget, and hovering somewhere between a backpacker and boutique hotel dweller.

Overall all it was ok

Overall the hostel was nice and relaxing. The kitchen was big with enough equipment for everyone. The bikes are free which is very good. The parking was also good and close to the rooms. Very close to the beach.

This a good place for backpackers but not really suitable for couples. You only get 1 hour of free WiFi for your whole stay. The women’s toilets could have been cleaned more often because the majority of the time they were very dirty and smelt terrible.

Overall the staff were friendly, however one member of staff called Marcus was very pushy when it came to the social events, this was very off putting and deterred us from going on the events.

Probably a good place to stay if you are on your own, otherwise it’s not suitable.

A happening place

This is located just across the road from the beach. The resort is a series of cottages set among trees and palms. A very pleasant setting.
The accommodation is varied. Simple but has what you need. We stayed in a cabin with one bedroom downstairs and a second loft bedroom that was small but ok for our needs.
The living area included a small kitchenette plus lounge, tv etc. Outside was a BBQ and car space.
The bathroom was fine and toiletries were supplied.
It does have some onsite facilities. A cafe and BBQ, a Yoga tent and booking facilities for trips.
There is a great restaurant with live music next door. It caters for wide range of visitors and locals and is a busy, popular place. There is also a mini bus shuttle into town.
It is a distance from town centre but this is not a great disadvantage!
Worth a stop overnight or an extended stay. Staff are helpful.

Right by the Beach with a good restaurant next door!

Stayed here for 5 nights with a friend in Oct. We had booked one of the studio apartments with a balcony and arriving late at night it wasn't until the next morning that I realized the balcony had no view whatsoever, just a bamboo screen hiding other buildings. I went to ask at reception and they very kindly moved us without any fuss. None of the balconies have a sea view but it's nice to be able to look up at the swaying palm trees whilst sat with a glass of wine so thank you for letting us change rooms! Room itself was large and very clean with an amazing shower and came well equipped for the little cooking we did. There was a bed and a sofa bed and both were comfy.

There was a mix of people staying here (it appears to be an old motel) but even though it was a half term weekend and there were also a lot of backpackers around there was no noise.

Great restaurant next door that does interesting breakfast choices in a very chilled atmosphere. Beach really clean and not busy at all, waves and current quite strong but good for swimming close to shore.

Would definitely recommend to people who are happy to be at the quieter end of Byron Bay but within a lovely 15 min walk to the centre of things.

Great location with nice clean rooms!

You can't beat the location here if you want to escape the crowds of Byron Central, yet it's only a 10-15 minute walk along the beach. The beach is unpartrolled and a designated area for dogs which we love. There are two dining options which are very good and The Treehouse has music 4 nights a week and delicious pizzas.
