Great week autum break

We booked the hotel to be nearby our Son (who was working in the area). We arrived early evening and were shown to our lovely room, situated on the Ground floor directly opposite the foyer. We had a metal framed contemporary 4 post bed, ensuite bathroom including bath with shower attachment, Toilet and Bidet. Clean towels, soaps and the best bit .....A mini Bar with reasonable prices, (nice change from other hotels I have stayed at) the room also had a mini safe, Flat screen TV and A/C.
We had booked the Bed and Breakfast option. (I was not aware that any other option was available).
There is a indoor plunge pool attached to the courtyard, a small sauna and gym equipment in a basement area that I thought I might use, but sadly my week flew by and I did not use any of it!.
The daily lunchtime menu we felt was good value and enjoyed a couple of lunchtime meals, we also enjoyed an evening meal on our first night. Not sure if it was the time of year (October) but both my partner and myself did get bitten a few times by mosquitoes in the courtyard area during meals.
The staff were very nice and made us feel part of the family of the hotel.
Breakfast was the mini buffet continental option. Local hams, cheese, sliced boiled eggs, tomatoes etc... Some cornflakes, black filter coffee, various juices, sweet cakes, croissants. There was no Hot breakfast option. A fresh Hot Boiled egg would have been nice option, but I appreciate space is limited for cooking at breakfast.
Only downside to the Hotel we found was Noise. We thought being in the narrow lanes of the old town the only noise would be from pedestrians and bicycles, but you have restaurants wheeling their wheelie bins down to the old town perimeter wall refuge collection sites late into the night and early morning, then 2 stroke mopeds with the usual revving and horns followed by the mini street sweeping machines and even the odd delivery van and cars!
If Im really honest, its the most noisy room i have ever stayed in! The old shutters and windows were great, and the hotel is full of character. We loved the decor of the hotel and our room.
If we were to return to Alcudia I would have no problem booking the hotel again.
A hidden gem!

I stayed 3 nights on a mother/daughter weekend this winter, and it surely was a nice little boutique hotel. We enjoyed the weekend surrounded by a fantastic staff - authentic rooms and a brilliant restaurant. The hotel has a little, but very cosy backyard where you can enjoy your BF/lunch/dinner, or just sit and chill having a nice glass of wine. I will definitely be back!
This years stay was so disappointing

We returned to the Ca'n Simo last week for the second year after a fantastic holiday there last year and we were looking forward to the same this year, the small hotel is great.
Last year the food we received on the half board deal was outstanding but this year on the same board the food could only be described as "VERY POOR" not sure why this has happened but it needs sorting out.

What a fantastic restaurant I can't praise this place enough, the staff were so very friendly and helpful, the food was out of this world there was a good choice of wines and the setting was lovely in a court yard or inside the only thing I wish we had done was stay there in the small hotel as it looked lovely.
So dissapointing

Arrived around 11pm only to stand around outside a locked door to reception area not knowing quite how to get the attention of someone that wasn't manning reception. Tried the telephone number on the door only to find it not in service. Then rang the companies head office...as it was on mobile we had to memorise the number (why couldn't the do this for us..). Called number and a a rather frazzled and stressed waiter/receptionist came over from the building across the road to let us in. Checked us in and took us up to the top floor, both laden with suitcases and bags he didn't even offer to take one of the bags and carry it up.
Hotel room was clean although there were hairs around skirting in the bathroom. One small towel hook next to the sink...and not one near the shower so there was no where to dry the towels which were still damp when we went use them the next day - the same for our beach towels. We had drinks from the mini bar and these weren't replenished for the following night and neither were the used bottles taken away by the cleaner. The zip up bed was pretty uncomfortable, we both woke with very sore necks at around 6am when the noisy street cleaners are out and about.
Breakfast had to be taken across the road in the building opposite the one we stayed in - it was ok but nothing special and the "fresh" orange juice was far too sweet tasting, not at all pleasant.
Whilst the decor is boutique there is absolutely nothing else about this place that was and I wouldn't go back!
