Beautiful View

This place was recommended to us because the place we were going to stay at was in danger of flooding. We were happy with the cleanliness, room and service. The view of San Ignacio is wonderful. The hill to get to the resort is very steep. We ate dinner one night and it was very good. We stayed in the hotel on the second floor. Room tip: rooms on the end have windows on two sides for more great views.

Great Views and Value

The resort sent a car to the international airport for us. They were waiting when we arrived and it is about a 2 hour ride to the resort. Transport from the airport is extra but we felt well worth it. It was a nice scenic ride too. They also took us back to the airport at the end of our stay.

The resort has some of the best views in San Ignacio. It is atop a hill overlooking town. On a clear day you can see all of town and the hills miles away, either right from your cabana or the main building. The ruins are right around the corner and town is just a short walk. Taxis can be called if you don't like hills or its raining.

Our cabana was good - it was small but efficient with a nice screened in outdoor area with a hammock. The AC worked well and we had privacy. The shower was ok. But Mosquitos in our cabana were a real nuisance. Every night we had to kill many before going to bed, then hope we were not bit at night. I do not believe it is a problem in the main building but in our cabana it was a real annoyance. The thatch roof and the adjoining walls have too much of a gap between them. Even lizards get in, we had two friendly lizards join us each evening.

The restaurant made a nice breakfast every morning, we enjoyed the fresh fruit juice, egg dishes, beans and fry jacks. We also had a very good dinner one evening and drinks. The bar is located near the restaurant, front desk and pool. Everything is very central. We did not get to use the pools.

The front desk also setup our tour of Tikal in Guatemala. It was very convenient and reasonably priced. The tour price included transport between the border and the resort (about 20 minutes each way), immigration fees on both sides of the border and both directions (time varies), transport to Tikal from border with their partner Guatemala based driver (about 90 minutes each way), a pitstop at a gift shop, a typical lunch at Tikal, and most importantly the guided tour of Tikal (about 3 hours). It was a very full day but everything went smoothly.

When booking, ask about package deals: room, transport, meals, tours, etc.

Stayed here for two nights. Very nice location, close to town and nice views from. Bungalow was clean and cosy and had everything we needed. Water pressure in shower wasn't great but hey there's always room for improvement! Do try the restaurant, lovely staff and we loved the local food (breakfast and dinner).
Also San Ignacio is a cool little town with loads of nice restaurants and bars.

Incredible Staff, Stunning Views, Great Restaurant and Bar

We took some time off from our resort in Hopkins and stayed here. The views overlooking the towns are stunning and we were very impressed with their wonderful staff. The restaurant is open and and overlooks their pools and down the mountain. The food was extremely good and the bar staff the best.

We found the rooms good for what we wanted. Simple and clean while the attached patio provided more awesome views and a place where we could watch the nightlife in town below.

Went to the bar and lounge area overlooking the pool. While my dauggter enjoyed herself in the 3 pools, my wife, her best friend and I took the opportunity to relax a little. Nachos are amazing, homemade hotsauce is spectacular and beers are super cold. Perfect place to getaway and relax!
