We were looking for an apartment for a week and found this complex,which was not at all what we were looking for, but it was a lovely surprise. We had a studio apartment high up with lovely vews and it was very quiet. The facilities are fairly basic,but absolutely fine for a week. The hotel part is very pretty and the swimming pool is something else and far superior to a lot of hotel pools with a nice little snack bar/bar area. There is a little beach that is hardly used.There is a tunnel connecting the pool with the hotel and this goes under a busy road. Traffic noise is not a problem. It's very close to Porto Azzuro.

A pleasant hotel with great views over the bay and comfortable rooms in a rustic Spanish theme clean and comfortable with a large balcony. Breakfast was excellent and could be taken on the terrace or inside. The nearby town of Azzuro is a excellent place for shops and restaurants and shops or just a drink. Stayed one night

My family had originally booked another location on Elba; however, my wife became Ill and I had to book a location with a friendly cancellation policy; therefore, I chose Cala di Mola, which had many positive attributes, including:
Location: strategically between Porto Azzuro, CapoLiveri and not far from Portoferraio
Structure: solid spanish-style houses with lovely views and kitchens for those who like to cook while on holiday
The Pool: a very large clean salt-water pool
The Staff and Support: the people were very nice and available; I had a problem with the kitchen, and they resolved it immediately
The Restaurant: excellent cuisine and buffet with lots of choices. Once they brought me the wrong order (which was still very good), and the head of the restaurant apologized personally
Running/Jogging: I have been to Elba several times, and always found running to be inconvenient; however, there is a very nice running/biking route from Cala through Naregno and CapoLiveri
The Animation: Okayanimation were very nice and entertaining without being too pushy.

Spent only 5 days with family (end of Aug /sept)
Pool is very nice (bring your goggles : water is really salty) and though there were lots of people it was quite. The entertainment team are lively and friendly but never too pushy. They (Adri, Michela and Pamela) were extremely pleasant and professional.
Breakfast was adequate.
We found lunches by the pool ok and fairly priced.
We have not tried the restaurant that serves dinners.
We had a Superior room for 4. The 4th bed was located in an area that stunk of mold. We mentioned it but nothing got done.
The little patio had a couple of chairs to enjoy the nice view. But also the air conditioning unit of your neighbor ! So all of a sudden you find yourself in front of a huge, noisy hairdraier spitting hot air.
Rooms get clean nicely and all personnel is kind and helpful.

Very nice hotel with staff who do their best to make your stay pleasant and exceptional. Great views of the bay, lovely plantings throughout the grounds, huge pool, but best aspect was the food. Not the usual hotel fare, much better.
Grilled sea bass, stuffed zucchini blossoms, eggplant caponata, panna cotta di ricotta, pappardelle with scallops, beef tartare, cream of truffle soup, all unexpected from a very talented chef and very professional waiters. Many thanks to Stefano, Achille, Daniele.
