Fabulous Hotel, in a perfect Location outside of Naples

Me and my wife were on a road trip heading from Rome to Sicily, and Naples was one of the stops en route. However, we had read up that traffic is chaotic, and driving and parking would be a stressful experience - not what we had in mind for a holiday. So, I started to search for a nice place to stay for a few nights, with parking, and an attractive neighbourhood. I bumped into positive reviews of the Cala Moresco, and decided to give it a shot.
Bulls eye!
What a perfect setting, on the top of a rock, facing the Italian coast, with views to the northern and souther coast from the hotel, sitting at the edge of a spit on the outermost spot of the Naples Bay. Wow! Beautiful in the morning, during the day, at sunset, and at night. Just amazing. Well kept, with gardens, and the hotel laid out in terraces with different views, it as a very peaceful setting, in a small piece of paradise on the coast near Naples - about 30 minutes driving.
The tiny village - Bacoli, is a summer resort for the wealthy of Naples, fleeing the heat of the bustling and noisy city, and it has a beach very close to the hotel. We walked there a couple of times, though you must be prepared for the climb - it is not a long walk, but the hotel is up high, and the only access are the narrow winding italian mountain roads: hardly one car can drive at a time, so as a pedestrian, be aware at all times. As a driver, even more so! Remember: Napolitanos drive recklessly! The beach has a great restaurant, just at the side where you come down from the hotel, called La Dragonara. Great food - but make reservations - t is well frequented. The Cala Moresco will be very helpful and do it for you, if you ask at the reception. There are also beach restaurants facing the sand and sea, worth having a snack and drink at, and just watching Italians enjoy the sea. We stopped by at the "Beach Brothers"at least twice, and had a nice time.
The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful - both the hotel, and the restaurant, which is also very nice: great food, good service, and a spectacular night view.
Our only remark, is that renovations were taking place, probably preparing the hotel for the peak season, so early in the morning, and all day long, you could hear the noise through the walls. However, as we were out most of the day, and only slept in once for some more time, it did not tarnish our stay... the friendliness of the staff made up for any qualms we might have had. Breakfast, included in our reservation, was spectacular, with a breathtaking scene from the glass walled dining hall.
Bynote: if you are staying over the weekend, be prepared... due to its exceptional setting, gardens and terraces, and great restaurant, it is very popular for weddings and other activities, so be wise about finding a spot to park, and where/when to eat, as the restaurant could be closed for the hotel guests, catering specifically to the party.
We were fine with all of the happenings, and that did not undo the good experiences at the Cala Moresco, and very helpful staff. Grazie!

We went on honeymoon here. Amazing view. Rooms where nice. There where 2 weddings those two days we where there , so alot of noise and drunk people. And a drone flying over us when we where at the pool and on our terrace. We tried the spa- sauna wasnt really hot (60 )and there where another room that wasnt turned on. The pool area was beautiful. You need to wear a hat for higienepurpose while you are in the pool. But the hat is onesize not fitting everyones head and made out of cheap nylon. Well, amazing place if you are going to trow a wedding but as hotelguest, not really working. This was the hotel with most noise on our trip (and we lived in Napoli, spanish neighborhood ) - and we wanted to go here for the peace and quiet. Oh well.
great views and food, but shame about the rest

booked this hotel via hotels.com. Checked out the hotel website before booking, looked amazing...... private cove to swim in, rooms looked gorgeous, when we arrived, we had a budget room over looking a patio. Asked to upgrade, not a problem, £80 extra for 4 nights, on top of the £847.00 already paid for 4 nights!! Asked for a refund as we would have been happy to go elsewhere, not a chance, so decided to make the most of it. 1st night, wedding kept us awake till 11pm, 2nd night..wedding till 1am...3rd night wedding till 2am and guess what 4th and final night..... 1.30am!!!! good points... food and restaurant staff...1st class and good value for money, pool quiet, clean and breathtaking views over the bay... downside.. we paid far too much for what we had and management make no attempt to offer us any discount /refunds for the lack of sleep.

Once again Vivian and everyone have made our stay both relaxing and magical, it's so nice to revisit anywhere and the same staff are there !, the whole experience was hassle free and relaxing , we were given a lovely room with a great view of the bay , the improvements to the pool area are really impressive and we spent most of our days relaxing and chilling out here, nothing is too much trouble and all of the staff have genuine smiles of joy an welcome unlike many other hotels we have visited, i strongly advise anyone to visit this property and enjoy the truly Italian warm and beauty, we will be back again very soon, and thank you again Cala Moresca x

The hotel is beautifully located, facing the sea. The view from our balcony was towards the Bacoli bay. It is clean and comfortable, the room was large, wi-fi was ok. The breakfast was good, also in a beautiful location with seaview. We had dinner here and the food was really tasty. There was a wedding here during our stay, but the noise was not disturbing. The beach is not far, 15 min walk.
