The level of hospitality I experienced during my two-week stay at the Calabash Green was way beyond what I expected. I have stayed in many guest houses around the globe, but I have never felt so much at home as I felt at Calabash. All the workers at this facility made me feel so special and as part of one lovely family. The caterer responsible for the breakfast services treated every guest with so much respect and accommodated my requests for service outside the designated time for breakfast without any complaints. The porter at the guest house was available to help in making the guests as comfortable as possible – running small errands, doing laundry, making quick runs to restaurants to buy food upon request. The front office had a few select taxi service providers to call when I needed transportation.
I always felt very safe during my stay – besides the availability of security guards at the gate, the facility itself was very well protected. The availability of free WI-FI and cable TV services made life at Calabash very comfortable. Despite the frequent power outages in the city during my trip, the availability of standby generators served to ameliorate the pain. The facility and rooms were very clean. Just like the room, the closets and kitchen were equally big -- the kitchen was very well equipped and very functional.
I highly recommend Calabash and will definitely stay there again during my next trip to Accra.

I selected this hotel according to Tripadvisor previous notes, two weeks were expected for business but I left after two nights. Note wrong, price very expensive for poor quality and service. Receptionist on the verge of rudeness, room furniture looks old, bathroom light was in failure (maybe since a long time), breakfast very poor, no choice, no jam but the only pleasant person in this hotel is the breakfast waitress.

We stayed here in March and thought that the standard of service was excellent. Nice rooms and the hotel was in a convenient location. The hotel is very clean and we really enjoyed our stay.

I travel for business and have stayed in many hotels around the world.
This hotel has the best staff of any hotel, I have ever stayed in.
The room was big, clean and came with a clean kitchen so that I could cook my own food.
I spoke to both the owner of the hotel and the manager and with the plans they have for this hotel in the future it will become even a better place to stay. They want to add a swimming pool, which this hotel currently lacks.
I felt so at home with the staff, that I even went with them around the city with them and it became a free tour that I really enjoyed.
I hope that business brings me back to Ghana, not just for business but so I can stay at the Calabash Green again.

So many aspects of Calabash Green made my stay in Accra a very pleasant experience. My initial plan was to spend a week at Calabash, but I ended up spending my entire one month vacation at Calabash. The premises are immaculately clean -- from the spacious compound to the beautiful and nicely decorated hallways, from the well equipped kitchen to the spacious bathroom space. Calabash has a list of drivers on call to satisfy the transportation needs of their guests. What made my stay even more enjoyable was the friendliness and caring attitude of the entire staff at Calabash Green. The breakfast menu was unique for each day of the week and was delicious and neatly presented. The compound was well secured with high barbed wired walls with 24-hour security. Cable TV was available so I was not deprived of some of my favorite channels – CNN, ESPN, etc. The wireless network at Calabash also gave me access to the internet 24 hours a day, so my ability to stay in touch with the US was effortless.
I highly recommend Calabash Green for any visitor to Ghana who will like a beautiful and safe place to live while they are either on a business trip or a family holiday.
