Only place left for my budget
PeterTrouwenon 23/10/2017 21:27Searching for a budget hotel in Aix-les-Bains was a challenge. Campanile was my 6th hotel to check. I arrived after 10PM and was helped by a very friendly concierge. He phoned all hotels in the area for me with no result. Then it pointed out that they had a room with the blinds stuck that should not be rented out. He saved me by renting this to me. He even gave me a discount because the room was not perfect.
He was my hero that night.

As it was pouring and cold out, not having to walk or find parking downtown for a restaurant was very welcome. The food is good and the hotel staff are friendly--and even spoke English which is a luxury in these parts. The hotel seems to be a popular place for golfers. Great wifi connection in the rooms and in the restaurant. The room is basic but clean. Bed comfortable and bedding quite outstanding for the price. Not that I'd expect much more from this level of hotel, but the restaurant was quite simple. I'm sure the patio seating area must be packed on a nice day. There seemed to be sufficient parking for all guests. You do have to walk outside and up some outdoor steps to get to the upper rooms (which was a bit of a pain in the rain).
Worth to visit!
Dinda Don 26/05/2017 22:00I checked in after a long journey visiting the region. The first impression about this hotel is the friendly staff, they were really warm and helpful. The room was modern, clean and effective, exaclty what i expected from 3 stars hotels. I got the room that has a view to the golf field, it was really calm especially at night.
At night we had dinner in the hotel's restaurant because we were too tired to drive to the city center (eventough it was only 5 minutes driving). I ordered fish of the day, and i can tell that the fish was fresh because it tasted so good! And we were spoiled by the staff because they were really attentive (in a good way). One more thing to add, don't skip the buffet! I took the all you can eat starter buffet and my boyfriend took the dessert one, it was a perfect deal!
Overall i was really happy to stay and eat in here, for the price of 3 stars hotel, it was worth it because they gave us a good service, ambience and also complete our experience in visiting the region!
