Annecy is a dream. A feast for the eyes and palate. The flamingo's dance and pose for you - the lake and mountains embrace you and remind of the simplicity and beauty of life. The hotel was fine - don't buy the breakfast, instead walk to the open market Saturday morning and buy the freshest baguettes and croissants. The room is clean and central.

The hotel is located a short walk from the train station, and is very close to old Annecy by walk which is great. The room was small but adequate for this price range. The only issue, which is unrelated to the hotel itself is the parking, we had to park in a public parking under a park, and we had a reduced rate which was great, but we felt that the park on top of the parking did not feel perfectly feel safe at night, and we did find some pink ink on our car when we left (easily removed though) the day after, so be careful when you go by car. Otherwise, the stay at the city and hotel was good.

1 min away from Annecy train/bus station. Guess it was lake festival so the hotel was busy during my time of checkin. Quite a few guests had to wait longer time for the room to be ready. Check in was bit delayed. Despite that, room is clean, enough space for solo or couples travelling. The terrace was lovely with the hotel restaurant. About 3-5mins walk you can get to the old town. Lift was tiny only fits one person and one suitcase at a time. Shower water volume was weak, but overall, it was a pleasant stay and the staffs were lovely they also speak fluent English.

Budget hotel, clean and safe, located close to the Train Station and the old village. The Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, offering me help with planning my exploration of the surrounding area and hunting down goods to take home. My room was clean with a comfortable bed and equipped with A/C. On the down side rooms could use better sound isolation and breakfast was typically continental, but Annecy is a charming town and this is good and inexpensive way to visit the area. I would /will stay again.

Having read of others' complaints about size, we booked a family room which is fine for 2 people. The height of our room was O.K, the shower is great and the bed comfortable. No need to pay for breakfast with cafés nearby. We recommend the French coffee shop. If you are staying for more than one night then leaving your car in the car park will cost you an extra 11 Euros/day, so you need to budget this. The hotel is difficult to find as it's not very prominent. It's opposite Au Bureau if that helps. Also we were misled by others saying to use the station underground car park. This is wrong, it's actually the Poste Carpark which is the closest one with the arrangement for overnight reimbursement.
