What People are saying

Good in low season

Jennifer Mon 27/09/2017 10:32

This place was very quiet in late September, which suited us. It’s not the kind of place we would visit in high season as I think it would be very, very busy and crowded. The campsites are not very big (and we chose the 6-person site for the 2 of us!) but since there were very few people around we didn’t feel cramped. The toilets, showers, sinks and all facilities were plentiful and very clean. We had a pitch just a few steps from the very nice beach. We had 1 pretty average & quite expensive meal in the restaurant so went elsewhere or self-catered after that. Overall we were very happy with our stay, but being a couple (no kids) who prefer our camping with a bit more character, we would only return in the low season. If you like holiday village / resort style camping with lots of activities, I think this would suit you very well.

Wonderful and beautiful holiday in Sardinia

The camping site is beautiful well organised literally by the sea. Just a 3 min walk from the tent to the sandy beach. The animation team is young smiley and very active they offer muscle awakening session on grass, acquagym in the sea, Latin fit In a covered area and in the evening a good selection of show (just a little too noisy for me ) perfect for the whole family. The space for the tent and cars are reasonably big and well served. It's a little pricey but totally worth it.

If my husband would let me, this is where I'd go every year!

We had a great time at this campground. It's not easy to please a 4-year-old, a 10-year-old and a 14-year-old with just one vacation destination but we were all extremely happy all two weeks long here, under the pine trees and near the pebble beach (yeah, mom, no sand in our "house")! The animation team, though small because of off-season period, was the best I've ever encountered. I honestly felt like it was really important to them that we were all having a great time. And we were! Mini-disco for the little one in the evenings, archery for the "big boys" and even dance lessons for mom and dad! Plus live (and really good!) singing in the evenings but never too loud or annoying. Really perfect. I still dream of this vacation and if I could go back every year, I would, my kids too. (my husband just likes to go somewhere new every time)

A great holiday...loved it

Lovely campsite shaded by pine trees and next to the beach - i loved the gentle swishing sound each morning of the pine needles being swept from the path! We went without the kids so didn't use the facilities for the kids but we made use of the bar, pizza place and gelateria.

Caravan was lovely- with a veranda and bbq so we were able to cook and eat outside during the warm evenings. Simple but very clean and well presented

Staff were very helpful and keen to support us with local information etc. We hired a car so were able to explore the area more easily. We also took the boat and did a day trip to Corsica

Perfect in so many ways

With summer to look forward to i have realised that in the search for the perfect holiday the decision is in many ways decided by the reviews people leave. I read reviews but never leave one and well Bai Blu deserves better.
We visited in late June early July 2011 for two weeks with our three boys 10,5 and 3. The weather was perfect. The camp site sits in pine trees a two minute walk from the beach. Its a beautiful site, really chilled out. Great wee park for the kids and the animation team worked tirelessy with my boys despite them being pretty much the only Brits. They put on a short show most nights and get the kids up to dance with an embaressed mum or dad. If its not your scene and it wasnt ours every night it finishes early and very little noise is heard from the Keycamp area.
Caravans were good and the Keycamp couple were excellent, even helped me fix the hire car i bumped. BBQ, decking, well spaced what more do you need ?
The site beach is coarse sand and you can have as much room on it as you want. It gets deep quite quick so if the kids were in so were we. The sea is crystal blue with a great big rock you can swim out to....and i did every morning before breakfast. There are so many beaches. San Terisa about half an hour away is stunning, the sand is much finer and the truly unbelievably turqoise sea is much shallower, you will rub shoulders with the locals its very popular. Paradiso bay has to be seen to be believed and the 10 minute walk in along the rocky coast is awesome. Not a bad wee waterpark nearby also.

So what are the negatives-
You need a hire car as the site is quite isolated and well there's just miles of coastline to explore.
Its expensive and we found eating out extortinate not that theres a huge choice within walking distance of the campsite. The campsite shop was ok for bits and bobs but you need a big supermarket, another reason for a hire car as its a good 10 minutes drive.

My wife and i would love to go back we feel we will struggle to find anything similar that has that mix of what we want and what the kids want. Unfortunately my oldest boy at 12 going on 16 would torment my younger two because theres not enough for him to do.
If you dont mind self catering most nights, you love the beach and loath the typical British tourist trail then its the perfect peacefull sun-kissed summer holiday.
