Great value and great location!
gimmeabreak2017on 31/08/2017 10:06Could not fault this fabulous, family friendly hotel. We stayed here for a week with our 3 teenage children during August - who thankfully had no problems accessing the hotel wifi! We had 2 rooms between us, both of which were spacious and spotless. The location is second to none. We looked hard for a hotel that could offer both beach and pool - this fitted the bill perfectly. You are right on the beautiful sandy beach - which also has a full time life guard during peak season so it is incredibly safe. The pool is a great size and was cleaned every day we were there. We opted for half board and both breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of different dishes - all of which were very good. Even our fussiest eater managed to eat well all holiday. However, the most impressive feature of this great little hotel were the staff! Although we did not speak much Spanish, they could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Most of the time we managed to converse happily with gesticulations and smiles. We feel the need to compliment ALL the staff - however Alba on reception was exceptional. Thank you Hotel Campomar for a really enjoyable holiday!
Wonderful lunch
mistyjack64on 15/08/2016 12:11We booked a paella for lunch, spent the morning on the beach and turned up for our lunch here at about 2pm - it was the most delicious paella ever - and the salads are also wonderful - and all for a very good price.
Peace and quiet
penny492on 18/09/2015 18:24We have just come back from a 5 day break stayed at this lovely hotel perfect for a relaxing break literally right on the beach the room was spotless and very roomy we couldn't fault it , as we didn't speak Spanish the staff did their best to cater for our needs hence they spoke very little English we dined in the restaurant a couple of times and was enjoyable very good value for money would recommend it , you do need to hire a car as its a bit of the beaten track but excellent for chilling out
Lovely stay right on the Beach
plantsman_10on 19/08/2015 20:58This hotel is located right on the sandy beach, with only a quiet road to cross, in a quiet area with not much else nearby. There is a secure car park but we parked out front without any problems. The staff are all excellent although only the receptionists speak fluent English. The Suite that we booked was very clean and comfortable, overlooking the beach, and very spacious with plenty of storage space. The bathroom was good with a powerful shower above the bath. There is no air conditioning or Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. I found that the best place for the free Wi-Fi was in the Salon. The restaurant was fun for us as the waitresses do not speak any English, but they do offer you an English Menu. However you must have a Spanish menu as well, as the English one is not always accurate! We had lunch and dinner while we stayed and all meals were excellent. The Paella and the Campomar Salad were our favourites. The Fish dishes are all worth trying and very well presented. The House white wine is very quaffable. Plenty of choice for breakfast, hot and cold with the orange juice being the only disappointment. If you want a relaxing and quiet beach holiday with a good hotel this could be for you.
Fantastic welcome and wonderful location
mathewsmaron 01/07/2015 20:58A family run hotel which I have been visiting for the past 20 years. Quiet in May and stunning views from the beach and if you go for a walk. Excellent service and nothing is too much trouble. Perfect location in May/June as the beach is not busy.
