Have just returned from another ! lovely relaxing two week break at the Canavial . My Wife and I have been going there for 12 years now. ( once a year to start, now for the last 4 years, twice a year). It is now like our second home with an extended family. Everything you need is within walking distance. Accommodation is cleaned every day by Isabel and the team.And the two brothers that own the apartments visit you from time to time, ( You don't get that in a big hotel.) Just about to book for next May. Cant keep away.

This was our life saver from Hell across the road! Teresa saved us from the claws of disaster accross the road. She took us in, found us a safe haven for two nights during a time when it was almost impossible to get accommodation in Lagos at this high season period. Unsurprisingly it was TripAdvisor's Winner 2015!
It deserves all the accolades of a Winner. Thank you Teresa for redeeming our faith in humanity and the Portuguese!

Stayed here for a few days with friends, booked last minute. The room was a studio, and very clean, all of the fascilaties, worked well. The rooms were cleaned daily. We arrived late after 10, and that was no issue, we were given the key and showed around. We didnt have to check in until the next day. The location, is quiet, and about a 25minute walk from the town, we usually got a taxi or Uber as they're really cheap. There are also two beach's close by praia de mos and praia Camilla, as well as the Dona ana which was our favourite. On check out (11) we were able to leave our bags at reception and use the pool, and the bathrooms/showers In the next house over. Would definetly recommend and stay again.

We loved our stay at the Canavial Apartments. Our flight arrived late and someone was there after reception had closed to let us in. She was very friendly and made us feel welcome and was very knowledgable about things to do in Lagos. GREAT location even though it is not downtown because it is a quiet neighborhood street that is still walking distance to the beaches, Ponta da Piedade, and a market. Closest beach is a less than 5-minute walk! Downtown is still accessible via public transportation or a taxi which typically only cost 5 euros one way. The pool area was very pleasant with lots of lounge chairs. Room was comfortable and it was nice having a daily cleaning service. Plenty of free parking around if you are renting a car. And when we checked out, we were allowed to still use the pool area until our evening flight and they even let us use a shower! If we ever return to Lagos, we would definitely stay here again.

We had a great 5 night stay here, beautiful pool lovely staff, and a really great room. Really nice area to be in very close to the Porto de mos beach, which I would say is the nicest beach in the area. It's a 25 minute walk into the town but if you have a rental car it's easy enough to drive. We walked in every day which was fine but tiring if youre not used to walking. We had a great stay, the staff were super helpful and the room got cleaned every day. The staff at reception helped us in loads of ways and they also put flowers on our bed for our arrival as it was our wedding anniversary! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
