We used to stay at the Candlewood near the airport but that property is beginning to show its age. This hotel seemed on the new side, was very clean and the grounds very well kept. It is near shopping and places to eat. For a small fee, pets are welcome. We do love that there is no housekeeping during a short stay however, that is not for everyone. The staff was very friendly.

Very good location conveinent to APG and I-95. Very friendly staff. Free breakfast for DoD travelers! Good local eateries and Cracker Barrel within walking distance. Fitness center was well frequented and ran out of towels. Equipment worked well.

I am currently on a 9 night vacation along the east coast. I stayed at this property on Tuesday and again on Thursday of that same week. Of the five nights I have spent in hotels so far, this property has been the quietest and the loudest. On Tuesday I was in room 105 and the traffic noise from I-95 was very noticeable. I had asked for another room, but was told the hotel was sold out. I was not happy and I got little sleep. It made for a less than enjoyable Wednesday. On Thursday, the complete opposite. This occasion they gave me room 216. No I-95 noise, a king size bed (105 has a queen size) and on the opposite side of the hotel. I got the best rest so far on this trip. Just goes to show you that the room you are given can make a lot of difference in your experience. Both times the staff was excellent. Also, I will mention that Candlewood Suites have regular size refridgarators in their rooms and many times these units make a lot of noise. Room 105 had a noisey one. Room 216 had a rare quiet one and that made sleeping easier. Also these properties offer free washer and dryer use. Happy traveling.

Very clean,very quite extended stay hotel. No daily house keeping but that is o.k. Country decor. So uf you want a contempory hotel, Candlewood Suites in Bel Air is not for you. A comfortable but basic suit

Jennifer at Candlewood Suites, Aberdeen MD, helped me through a cancelation charge that incorrectly booked through the government Defense Travel System. No hassle... total understanding... what a great experience.
The Citibank Government Credit Card customer service had no concern and wasn't interested in helping... more than ready to charge me.... it is so nice that Jennifer was there otherwise I'm certain I would be over $100 out of pocket..... thank you Jennifer!!!
