Hard bed!!!

We checked into this hotel after a long drive from Williamsburg. The front desk gal was very nice, and our room was ready for us. We even got fresh baked chocolate chip cookies,which was a nice touch. We checked in, went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse which was excellent. Unfortunately, when it came time to go to bed, we realized we got Fred Flinstone's room, the bed was hard as a rock! I'm not kidding, my hip was killing me from sleeping on my side, then when I layed on my back, my back was arched, so that my lower back was killing me. It was a brutal night of tossing and turning. We had booked for two nights, but ended up leaving after just one. I've never slept in such an uncomfortable bed at any IHG property. Upon checkout, there were several people waiting to checkout, and it took longer than it should have, but the girl was pleasant, and apologized for the bed. The rest of the room was nice, except there weren't any washcloths in the bathroom or anywhere else in the room for that matter. Hopefully they will get their act together, as there were many other hotels to pick from around there. We actually joked that maybe they were preparing the recruits for boot camp, since there is a base nearby.

The room was spacious and well appointed. All of the necessary extended stay items were present. The bed was firm and provided a nice rest. I would stay again. The wifi was very fast and kept a full bar setting no matter where on the property.

Staff was awesome! They let us check in early. Room was wonderful. Definitely stay there again. Was so very close to camp Geiger and to everything. It really could have been a better stay. We booked 3 rooms and they were all wonderful.

I have stayed at Candlewood Suites three times on business for periods up to three weeks. The Candlewood has great towels, ETC.. The towels are soft and clean. I have stayed at some places where I would be afraid to wipe my truck with their towels as it would damage the paint. The suite is clean and no noise. The internet speed is average. The television lineup has all the channels. The coffee machine, Maxwell House, is on 24/7. There is a full line of cooking utensils if you want to cook. The micro wave is full size with an exhaust that is duct-ed outside the room. There is even a full size dish washer. The bath soap is first rate. The general manager, Rea, is very helpful.
One afternoon I noticed a slight dripin the bathtub. I called the front desk to report the drip. Within fifteen minutes a maintenance staff person came and repaired the drip.
I will stay on my next business trip.

Horrible Hotel!!!!

We came to NC for my twin, niece and nephew's graduation. Upon arrival well after check in time, the room still wasn't available. Once we got to our room there was a hair on the sheets. We left to get food after notifying the staff. We were told, "there were only two maids on staff." After settling into our room and getting our own, hopefully fresh sheets. We noticed three roaches, as well as "white stains" on our room chair. We want our money back! This is disgusting and very unprofessional.
