My family of 4 rated this room a 7..here’s why. Beds were only 2 full size beds. The carpets appeared to be outdated and dirty so they really need to be replaced. No breakfast but they do have a little “store” to purchase snacks with free coffee & hot cocoa however I felt like every time you walk out of there they are watching you like a hawk to see if you took anything from the store. Walmart is really close and Chili’s restaurant is located in their parking lot which was nice to just walk over. They have a really nice gym and I also used their laundry facility which was free and easy to use.

Too many problems to discuss in detail. Register would not take our credit card, service hotline doesn't answer, first room-toilet leaks, second room -bathroom floods, no wifi, hair dryer broken. Staff doing the work best they can which is nothing. Most of the hotel guests look like they are people living on the edge.

We stayed in town at this hotel for two nights. We made reservations online and paid in full in advance. However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the room we had requested with two double beds was not available and that they had been "oversold" by a popular online booking company, which I will not name here. We were offered a room with a King bed and a sofa bed. Two people in my group had to sleep on the sofa bed, which was essentially springs with a thin cover over them. They had a miserable nights sleep. Also, the envelope with the keys had the wrong room number written down and we spent several minutes trying to get in until we figured out that they had written the wrong room number down on the envelope. It is a good thing someone didn't think we were trying to get into their room. The next morning we were moved to a different room upon my request. The second room stunk like cigarette smoke. Both rooms had scratchy pillows and the beds were to that comfortable. Additionally, the toilets didn't flush very well. On the positive side, the hotel was conveniently located to restaurants and shopping and was quiet at night.

I generally like Candlewood Suites, and, in many ways, this one was just fine. However, there is a big gap between the one we stayed at just a little further west and this one. For one thing, the staff was mostly absent. Every time I tried to go to the front desk for someone, I actually gave up before anyone ever came back. A few times, though, as I was walking away, someone was coming in from their smoke break outside. I guess, when cigarettes are involved, it's okay for the phone to ring for 10 minutes and the customers to not be helped.Overall, this place just seemed like a poorer, imitation version of many of the others.

The Candlewood is, at least in my world, the low end of the IHG chain of hotels and is priced accordingly. You get a good room (mini-suite) for a low price. This one was about average for all of the ones where I've stayed. The staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. The room is OK for the price although it did have a worn look to it. The door exiting the street side is just about rusted through and needs to be replaced.
