We were looking for a hotel which is more into nature and gives a tropical feeling. The haadson resort was the perfect match. It is a really beautiful place to relax and spend your holidays. The hotel is taking good care of the nature around and offers a very helpful and friendly service. We felt quickly like home and enjoyed having only the sounds of the nature around us (kind of jungle feeling :))
Facilities are great. We liked the style of the complete architecture which fits perfectly in this environment. As I think, bathrooms could be renewed in the next years. But the housekeeping was cleaning up every day.
Besides the good breakfast (in a really nice restaurant) there is directly in front of the hotel the beautiful quiet Bang Sak Beach.
Around there a couple of restaurants but you can also get quickly to Khao Lak center (14 km). The hotel offers motor bikes for a very low price (300 bht per day).
Currently the hotel is not offering any wellness or massage programs. That is the only point we were disappointed about. But this will be solved within the next weeks since they are renewing the spa corner right now.
But there are many massage palaces in front of the sentido hotel (only hotel close to haadson. Right side of the beach when u get out of the hotel. 10 min walk). We went there couple of times.
We would definitely go back everytime! 💜

Stayed here for 5 nights in mid October.
Definitely low season as we were upgraded to a villa - which was lovely.
Breakfast was delicious - and plenty to keep you going.
Didn’t try the restaurant at night - instead headed out and turned right towards the two big hotels. Ate each night at the Beach Bar - and enjoyed the tastiest Thai food we had on our entire trip.
WiFi was patchy but it’s not an essential!
Enjoyed the fact that towels were provided for the beach and pool - changed on request.
The umbrella was most useful too.
Caught the courtesy bus into the market one day as well - the 2 hours was plenty.

Spent 25 nights here in May. Very quiet, but exactly what we wanted. Had a villa, which was also perfect for us. Enough room inside to spend the lots of rainy, windy days we had relaxing. Unfortunately we had the edge of a cyclone, so the beaches were unsafe for swimming after the first week and a half and it rained most days, but when we first arrived it was great. I enjoyed the beach directly opposite the hotel as it was calm and clean. Obviously this does not apply to monsoon/cyclone time. Hotel pool big enough and 2.0 metres in the deep end, so great for swimming. Restaurant was reasonable, but the variety of Western food was not so great for a long stay like ours. After two weeks, one does feel like home food! Breakfast the normal as per the better hotels in Thailand, fresh fruit, Continental and bacon and eggs etc available every day. A bit out of the way if you do not have own transport, but the resort does provide a free shuttle into Khao Lak Centre every day, so one is not totally stuck at the resort. We hired a scooter hasslefree from the hotel and toured everywhere. We had a great time, irrespective of the weather. Staff were very friendly and eager to help. A big thumbsup to the Haadson. We had a great stay here and would stay here again if we went back to Khao Lak.

The facilities are great. You get a nature vibe, and the ocean is right at the front of the hotel.
We originally were only going stay here for one night, but ended up stay here for our entire stay in Khao Lak.
The staff was friendly, and very accommodating. They took great care of us.
The breakfast was delicious. My father is vegan and they were very accommodating to that as well. I highly recommend that you stay here!

Stayed for 4 days/3 nights and for the price this is a great place located directly across a quiet beachfront road from a beautiful long stretch of uncrowded sandy beach. The units are bungalow and 4-plex style set in a beautiful jungle like setting with canals. We stayed in a top floor unit, which I booked on short notice. It was spacious with covered balcony/lanai, included fridge, A/C, spotty-wifi, bath with walk-in shower and a larger bed. By Thai standards it was clean, though my girlfriend complained the bath could have been cleaner, that was pretty standard throughout Thailand and Cambodia though, our other destination. Beds are a little hard, but typical for Thailand. The location and grounds were really nice, a very natural jungle like setting. Nice pool area, spa facilities (didn't try) and restaurant. We spent most of our time at the beach with the hotel provided beach chairs & umbrellas, totally relaxing and great swimming too. Just a short walk north are several beachfront restaurants and massage places, all of which we enjoyed, can't beat the setting. Additionally the open air restaurant and included breakfast were great and reasonably priced by hotel standards. This is a quieter area, not in Khao Lak center. There is a free shuttle in the afternoon to Khao Lak Center but we took a taxi for an evening out, 400 bht round trip I think, don't quote me on that though;-) The staff was excellent, spoke English well in our case, and do their best to accommodate their guests. I wonder sometimes about people's expectations in relation to what you pay for a place. From a US dollar standpoint at around $75/nt, I felt it's a great value for the beautiful setting. Would definitely go back.
