We stayed here for a weekend wedding being taking place nearby. The location is superb, set within the ground s of the cathedral and a decent amount of onsite parking.within locked gaurded gates (even on hand to let us in late into the night!!). A stay comes with unlimited access to the cathedral and for a first visit in about 45 years, this was areal bonus. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to find us some refreshment for 10 of us to consume in the library to wind down after our evening meal. Rooms were very comfortable if a little smaller than we might have liked, breakfast was something special with a wide choice from the menu or a help yourself continental buffet, gardens were delightful and immaculately maintained Certainly the place to stay if you are visiting Canterbury, either for the cathedral and other historical delights or for the shopping which is right on the doorstep. Stayed for two nights with husband and a couple of friends. Lovely staff, quiet spacious room in the centre of the town. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty and served quickly. It really hit the spot for us.

A amazing hotel in the grounds of Canterbury cathedral.
Well designed to fit in this historic area.
A small friendly hotel in an amazing setting.
If you are visiting the cathedral there is nowhere better.
Comfortable, clean and friendly.
Good breakfast but no other meals available.
Drinks available in comfortable library which is a good space to socialise.
Highly recommended.

So convenient!- on the grounds of the cathedral. Clean, quiet and easy walking distance to restaurants and the sights of the city. Steps from the cathedral itself. An amazing location! I would stay here again.

Great hotel within the cathedral grounds. Classic hotel with charming staff. Only real complaint was a rather high value tog duvet and bulky pillows, otherwise room comfortable. The bed was quite soft, but I found this comfortable despite the hot duvet and pillows. Lovely to have self service water available - still and sparkling along the corridor, served in glass bottles, so much better than plastic bottles.
The breakfast was varied, good quality and all staff friendly and professional. There was an excellent continental section which included local cheeses, ham, fruit and pastries along with several cooked options. It was lovely having the hot option cooked to order and served to the table.
Car parking was booked up on site, but the nearby public car is quite close and costs £6 with hotel permit. Overall, a hotel to be recommended especially as it is in the cathedral grounds and offers complimentary entry. We were fortunate to hear the English Chamber Orchestra, choir and soloists rehearsing...a real treat.
