We have just returned from a visit to this beautiful hotel fantastic customer service from arriving at reception and to restaurant and bar staff the service is 5 star . The rooms are large and well maintained and spotlessly clean the spa facilities are great as are the pools I would highly recommend this hotel in July and august
The town of sanxenxo is a beautiful seaside resort but it was like a ghost town we didn't meet any other tourists in the few days we were there and there is nothing outside of the hotel to do so much so we moved to the city of Vigo for our last days of our break no reflection on this beautiful hotel this resort only caters for locals outside of these July and august

We spent four nights at this hotel. We enjoyed everything about it. We enjoyed a lovely room, lots of good spa facilities and great service. The breakfast buffet was excellent. You can really relax and enjoy a beautiful place in a nice town at a reasonable price.

It is located close to the beach, around 100 metres but it is a quiet place
Warm and competent staff
You should ask for upper rooms cause they have nice views from the balcony and you can spend nice time reading something from your sunbed

This was simply one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences we've ever had. The staff do an amazing job. They are incredibly warm and it feels as if nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is immaculate and smells beautiful too; fresh flowers inside and out (including rooms). We had little Spanish, but were never made to feel uncomfortable. There are a few members of staff who speak English and will go out of their way to help, but we were still always able to communicate with those who didn't speak English too. We felt everyone we encountered would go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We were in very good hands. The facilities are outstanding. Indoor and outdoor pool, spa, multiple lounge areas, roof terrace, bar, restaurant and outdoor bistro/bar, tennis court, indoor and outdoor parking and all rooms looked as if they had balconies. I've read some people here complain about the lack of beach view…they obviously didn't visit the roof terrace! The beach is minutes away too. Sanxenxo itself, is a bustling beach town. It is not the prettiest place I've ever visited, but the beach is lovely (sometimes crowded) and I would return to stay at this hotel, seriously! Hire a car and get out and explore Galicia. The countryside and surrounding beaches are beautiful! Enjoy the albarino wine and seafood!

This is the second time we have stayed at Carlos 1 Silgar.
The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
The bar staff mix amazing cocktails and sangria and take care when serving drinks, the presentation is excellent.
The hotel is spotlessly clean and the cleaning staff are always happy and friendly when you meet them.
The breakfast is awesome, you could want for nothing.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean.
The spa is a fantastic place to relax and unwind.
The location is perfect, Silgar beach being a short 3 minute walk and numerous bars and restaurants are within walking distance.
