Great value and a warm welcome
Aberdonian84on 03/11/2017 21:55We had a great stay at Carn Mhor thanks to Adrian and his family. The room was spotless, confortable and roomy for our family of 3. The breakfast was massive and delicious. Well located and good value for money I’d definitely recommend.
A welcoming, super-comfortable B&B
Wendy Mon 01/11/2017 14:30Our room was large with a lovely view, and the our host, Adrian, was very helpful, suggesting restaurants to meet our vegetarian requirements, booking us a table at a popular Italian spot and driving us to the train station so we would be in good time for our train to Edinburgh.
Very good breakfasts too. We would recommend this excellent B&B to anyone visiting Aviemore.
Enjoyable stay at Carn Mhor
ElaineDEdinburghon 30/10/2017 21:43I found this B&B on an internet search looking for pet friendly accommodation in Aviemore. This seemed to meet our needs perfectly and I have to say we were glad we chose here. A lovely welcome on arrival and tips on places to eat that were dog friendly and places of interest to go and see. The room was spacious and cosy. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk and even chocolate biscuits. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful with a full buffet selection as well as cooked. We were in the annexe as we had the dog but you have your own bathroom downstairs which is not shared with other guests (2 rooms and 2 designated shower rooms) I really couldn't find fault at all. Overall a lovely experience and we are planning to visit again next autumn.
Excellent Trip
Lee2411on 18/09/2017 11:57I am usually a big hotel chain type person, but after looking at the reviews of the Carn Mhor we decided to give it a chance and we are so lucky we did.
Adrian as a host is amazing, there when you need him and invisible when you don't.
The room was comfortable and cosy without a family of 3 being squashed.
The breakfast was very well cooked and with a good selection.
We got recommendations of places to eat for dinner and both were spot on for our family.
The only downside was there was 2 Barbie DVD's in the dvd collection(that you can borrow) that i had already watched about 20 times... i had to watch them again twice each!!!!
Excellent Host
FrizDurhamon 15/09/2017 19:53As we wanted to arrive earlier than check in time and Adrian was not going to be around he gave us information on how to access our room. We had not realised that we had booked one of the family rooms in the annex. These rooms are across a small car park with the shower room on the ground floor and bedroom upstairs. Dressing gowns are provided but if you don't want to meet other guests whilst wearing your dressing gown make sure you book a room in the main building. Adrian gave us information on best dining venues and there are lots of books in the dining room. These annex rooms are cosy and comfortable and the whole property is spotless. Would definitely recommend this B & B if you want to stay in this area.
